No-Hide

Are No-Hide chews good for dental health?

Yes! Chewing plays an important role in your dog’s oral health, and No-Hide is designed to support that natural behavior. The firm, long-lasting texture encourages extended chewing, which helps create gentle mechanical abrasion on the teeth, supporting the reduction of plaque buildup and helping keep gums engaged and healthy. Unlike overly hard chews that can risk tooth damage, or highly processed options that break down too quickly, No-Hide is crafted to deliver a balanced chewing experience, durable enough to promote meaningful chewing, yet made from real food ingredients designed to break down more naturally. While No-Hide is not a replacement for regular brushing or professional dental care, it’s a rewarding, everyday way to help support oral health as part of a consistent routine.

Are No-Hide chews okay for dogs with food sensitivities?

Many pet parents with sensitive pups love No-Hides because we keep it simple. Real wholesome ingredients. Thoughtfully sourced proteins. No animal hide, synthetic chemicals. No junk. No ‘mystery stuff’. We offer many delicious options like beef, chicken, pork, salmon, venison, and even peanut butter, you can choose the recipe that fits your dog best. As always, if your pup has known allergies or specific sensitivities, we recommend reviewing the ingredient list and chatting with your veterinarian. Pure. Honest. Simply a healthy chew!

Are No-Hides patented?

A provisional patent has been filed with the US Patent Office describing the No-Hide manufacturing process and its safety advantages compared to traditional rawhide chews.

Can a chew be both long-lasting AND digestible?

Absolutely. And it should be. There’s a common misconception that if a chew lasts a long time, it must be hard to digest. That’s only true when the chew is made from indigestible materials like processed hide or certain synthetic products. Long-lasting doesn’t have to mean “sits in the stomach.” With No-Hide, the durability comes from craftsmanship, not indigestibility. We use real food ingredients your dog’s body recognizes thoughtfully sourced protein, brown rice flour, eggs, and olive oil. Then we slow-bake the recipe to create a firm, satisfying texture that encourages steady gnawing. The structure comes from the baking process. The digestibility comes from the ingredients. It’s not about making something your dog can’t break down. It’s about making something they can enjoy and safely process. Long-lasting. Highly digestible. Another Way is always possible.

Can my cat have No-Hide chews?

Yes! And many cats absolutely love them. Our No-Hide Stix (XS size) are perfectly sized for cats (0–10 lbs). They’re made with the same wholesome, highly digestible ingredients as our Rolls, just in a slimmer, more manageable shape for feline jaws. Why cats enjoy them:

  • Natural gnawing instinct. Cats have an instinct to chew and tear - Stix give them a satisfying outlet.
  • Real protein flavor. No artificial coatings or overpowering smells - just simple, savory ingredients.
  • Digestible recipe. Made without animal hide or synthetic chemicals and designed to break down naturally.

Some cats nibble. Some full-on hunter-mode their Stix. Either way, it’s enrichment, not just a treat. As always, supervise chew time and provide fresh water. Because chewing isn’t just for dogs!

Can puppies have No-Hide?

Yes! No-Hide chews are a great choice for puppies 6 months and older. By that age, their adult teeth are coming in and they're ready for satisfying chew experiences.

A few tips for puppy chew time:

  • Always choose a size larger than your puppy's mouth
  • Always supervise chew sessions, especially at first
  • Start with shorter sessions and work up as they learn good chewing habits

For more guidance, visit the No-Hide Chew Guide.

Do No-Hides stain carpets?

The protein coating can leave marks on light-colored carpets when moistened during chewing. Here are some easy solutions: They’re made with real, savory protein, so if that delicious outer layer gets wet during an enthusiastic chew session, it can leave a mark on light-colored carpets. It’s not dyes. It’s not artificial coloring. It’s just real food doing what real food does. A few easy ways to keep chew time tidy:

  • Offer No-Hide on tile, wood floors, or outdoors
  • Place a washable mat down for designated chew time
  • Turn chew time into cozy crate time
  • Teach your dog their special “chew spot” (most dogs love having a ritual place)

Any marks are typically easy to clean because again, it’s simply wholesome ingredients.

Does No-Hide contain grains?

Yes. No-Hide contains brown rice flour and we chose it intentionally. Not as filler. Not as a shortcut. But as a purposeful, functional ingredient. Here’s why: Gentle digestibility Brown rice flour is widely recognized as easy to digest and well-tolerated by most dogs. Wholesome and transparent It’s a simple, recognizable ingredient, not a mystery starch or vague “by-product.” Structural integrity It works as a natural binder, helping create the firm, satisfying texture that makes No-Hide long-lasting, without relying on indigestible hide or synthetic materials. It’s important to know that true grain allergies in dogs are relatively uncommon. Many dogs labeled “grain-free” are avoiding grains by preference, not medical necessity. That said, if your dog has a diagnosed grain allergy or confirmed sensitivity, No-Hide may not be the right fit, and your veterinarian can help guide that decision. We don’t follow trends. We choose ingredients for function, digestibility, and purpose. Because what goes into a chew matters.

How are No-Hide chews made?

No-Hides are proudly produced in a baking facility in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, where real ingredients become a better chew.

We start with simple, purposeful ingredients: brown rice flour, agar-agar (a plant-based binder), eggs, olive oil, banana powder, and pineapple stem. Then we add thoughtfully sourced proteins like beef, chicken, pork, venison, salmon, or peanut butter.

From there, the ingredients are blended, formed, and carefully baked to create the long-lasting, satisfying texture dogs love — without using animal hide, synthetic chemicals, bleaches, or adhesives.

After baking, each chew is finished with a slurry coating made from the same recipe of real food ingredients. This coating helps lock in flavor and gives the chew its signature texture.

Our beef, chicken, and venison come from partners who meet our high standards for humane care. Pork is humanely raised. Salmon is 100% wild-caught.

How are the ingredients in No-Hide chews sourced?

At Earth Animal, sourcing is our greatest responsibility. Every ingredient in No-Hide is carefully sourced from trusted partners who meet our rigorous standards for food safety, traceability, and humane animal care. If it doesn’t meet our standards - it doesn’t make it into our chews. Our proteins are thoughtfully sourced:

  • Beef – USA-sourced from humanely raised, grass-fed cattle
  • Chicken – USA-sourced from humanely raised poultry
  • Pork – Humanely raised
  • Venison – Free-range and grass-fed
  • Salmon – 100% wild-caught

We do not use factory-farmed animals. We do not use farm-raised fish. And we do not cut corners when it comes to animal welfare. Because how an animal is raised matters. How an ingredient is sourced matters. And what your dog chews absolutely matters. For seasonal and specialty recipes, like Strawberries & Cream, Grilled Cheese, and Bacon Cheeseburger, we partner with trusted global suppliers who meet the same uncompromising standards. Transparency isn’t optional. It’s who we are. Explore our Ingredient Sourcing Map to see exactly where our ingredients come from.

How do I store No-Hides?

Think pantry… not refrigerator. Unopened No-Hide chews are perfectly happy in a cool, dry place, tucked into a cupboard, treat jar, or your dog’s snack drawer. Just keep them away from moisture and direct sunlight. No refrigeration needed. They’re slow-baked and shelf-stable, made from real ingredients, but crafted to last. If your dog happens to save a little for later (we respect the self-control), simply store the partially chewed piece in a cool, dry spot until the next chew session. Simple storage. No fuss. Ready when they are!

How does No-Hide compare to bully sticks?

Both No-Hide and bully sticks are popular, long-lasting chews, but they offer very different experiences for your dog. Bully sticks are typically made from a single ingredient (beef pizzle), while digestible, quality, sourcing, and processing can vary widely, and they’re often known for their strong, barnyard-like odor. No-Hide takes a different approach. Our chews are veterinary formulated and made with thoughtfully sourced, real food ingredients, protein, brown rice flour, eggs, and olive oil, crafted for high digestibility and a cleaner, more enjoyable chewing experience. No harsh smells. No mystery sourcing. Quality, sourcing, and processing can vary widely between brands. Factors like where the cattle are raised, how the ingredient is handled, and the manufacturing standards used all make a difference. That’s why transparency matters so much to us. Proudly made in the USA with globally sourced ingredients. We control every step of the process to ensure consistency, quality, and integrity from start to finish. And with many different recipes, you can find the right chew for every dog.

How does No-Hide compare to Himalayan yak chews?

Both are popular rawhide alternatives, but they’re very different chew experiences. Ingredients: Himalayan yak chews are made from hardened cheese (yak or cow milk). No-Hide is made from real protein and whole-food ingredients like brown rice flour, eggs, and olive oil, thoughtfully blended and slow-baked. One is a dense dairy chew. The other is a baked, food-based chew. Texture Yak chews are extremely hard. That durability can appeal to very aggressive chewers, but the hardness may be tough on teeth, especially for seniors or heavy “crushers.” No-Hide is firm and long-lasting, but intentionally more forgiving. It encourages steady gnawing rather than tooth-on-rock pressure. Digestibility Both options are more digestible than traditional rawhide. However, yak chews are concentrated dairy protein. For dog’s sensitive to dairy, that matters. No-Hide is crafted from a broader blend of digestible ingredients, designed to break down naturally. So which is better? It depends on your dog. If you have an ultra-determined, rock-crushing power chewer, a yak chew may meet that need. If you want variety, whole-food ingredients, a more tooth-conscious texture, and flexibility across ages and chew styles, No-Hide offers that balance. Some pet parents rotate both. Others choose based on their dog’s chewing style and dietary needs. Different chews. Different strengths. The choice is yours.

How long does a No-Hide Roll last?

It depends on your dog's chewing style. The average chew time is about 45 minutes to 1 hour for Rolls. Stix are a quicker chew at around 15 minutes, perfect for smaller dogs, cats, or a quick reward. Power chewers may finish faster, while gentle chewers might stretch a single No-Hide across multiple sessions. Every dog is different, that's part of the fun. If your dog finishes too quickly, try sizing up. See our size guide for the perfect chew for your dog.

How many No-Hides can I give my dog per day?

Yes, we know they’ll absolutely ask for more. We recommend no more than two No-Hide chews per day. Why? Because No-Hide isn’t an empty chew. It’s made with real, nutrient-rich ingredients which means it’s naturally more satisfying and filling than you might expect. Think of it less like candy… and more like a hearty snack with benefits. Plus, chewing is a workout. Those jaw muscles are putting in real effort! For most dogs, one chew is a rewarding enrichment session. Two is plenty for even the most enthusiastic gnawers. A few reminders:

  • Choose the right size (when in doubt, size up).
  • Always supervise chew time.
  • And provide plenty of fresh water before, during, and after.

Because the goal isn’t “more.” It’s satisfied, enriched, and happily tired.

I think my dog swallowed a No-Hide whole. What should I do?

First, stay calm. Then quickly assess your dog. Are they breathing normally and acting relaxed? Or are they gasping, gagging, standing stiffly, pawing at their mouth, or showing signs of distress? If your dog seems comfortable and is breathing normally: No-Hide is made from real, digestible food ingredients, not rawhide. That means it will begin breaking down in the stomach. Monitor your dog closely for the next several hours. Watch for repeated gagging, vomiting, excessive drooling, abdominal discomfort, lethargy, or any unusual behavior. If anything feels off, contact your veterinarian right away. If your dog shows signs of distress: If your dog is choking or struggling to breathe, this is an emergency. If you can safely see and reach the object without pushing it farther back, carefully attempt to remove it. If you cannot easily remove it or you’re unsure seek veterinary care immediately. When in doubt, call your veterinarian. Always. Chewing should be joyful, but safety comes first and supervision is the best prevention. If you have questions, our team is here to help at customerservice@earthanimal.com or 855-326-4625.

Is No-Hide good for dogs with sensitive stomachs?

Yes! Many dogs with sensitive tummies do beautifully with No-Hide. Here’s why:

  • Real food ingredients. Thoughtfully made with protein, brown rice flour, eggs, and olive oil, simple, recognizable ingredients that are naturally gentle on digestion.
  • Highly digestible. Unlike rawhide, No-Hide breaks down naturally in your dog’s system.
  • Flavor options galore. From classic proteins like beef, chicken, pork, salmon, venison, and peanut butter, to our fun, limited flavors like Grilled Cheese, Strawberries & Cream, and BBQ - there’s something for every palate (even picky, sensitive ones).
  • Natural digestive support. Ingredients like banana powder and pineapple stem (a natural source of bromelain) help support healthy digestion.

Sensitive stomach doesn’t mean boring chew time. It means thoughtful ingredients. Gentle digestion. And flavors dogs get truly excited about. If your dog has a diagnosed digestive condition, we always recommend checking with your veterinarian before introducing new treats.

Is No-Hide good for senior dogs?

Absolutely. And many of them do. Growing older doesn’t mean giving up the joy of chewing. In fact, it can matter even more. Here’s why No-Hide can be a beautiful fit for seniors: Gentle on aging systems No-Hide is made from real, digestible food ingredients, not processed hide which can be especially important for older dogs with more sensitive stomachs. Supports dental wellness Chewing naturally helps reduce plaque buildup and stimulates gums. That steady, satisfying gnawing action gives aging mouths a gentle, healthy workout. Keeps minds engaged Chewing is enrichment. It provides focus, comfort, and a sense of purpose, something senior dogs still deeply crave. Flexible options For dogs with fewer teeth or less jaw strength, try No-Hide Strips for a thinner chew experience, or lightly soften a Roll with warm water to make it easier to work through. Aging may slow them down. It doesn’t take away their instincts. As always, supervise chew time, choose the appropriate size, and consult your veterinarian if your senior has specific health concerns. Because every stage deserves joyful chewing.

Is No-Hide really digestible?

Yes. No-Hide is made with real, thoughtfully sourced food ingredients, protein, brown rice flour, eggs, and olive oil—that your dog’s digestive system recognizes and can process naturally. Unlike rawhide, which is made from animal hide and can sit in the stomach, No-Hide breaks down the way food should, making it a highly digestible, long-lasting chew.

Is No-Hide veterinary formulated?

Yes. And it was the first of its kind. No-Hide was created by Dr. Bob Goldstein, an integrative veterinarian with over 45 years of clinical experience and the co-founder of Earth Animal (est. 1979). After seeing firsthand the digestive blockages and chemical exposure tied to traditional rawhide, Dr. Bob knew dogs deserved more than a “better version of hide". A complete rethinking. So, he created the original No-Hide, the first long-lasting chew made from real, digestible food ingredients, instead of chemically processed hide. It was bold. It was groundbreaking. And it helped change the industry. Not just another chew. A veterinarian’s answer to a real problem. Learn more about Dr. Bob and Susan’s story.

My dog finishes really fast—is that normal?

Every dog is different, and finding the right chew style is part of the fun! Totally normal. Some dogs are savor-and-sigh chewers. Others? Full-speed enthusiastic, mission-driven, zero-distractions power chewers. It’s just their style. If your dog tends to work through a chew quickly, here are a few ways to extend the experience:

  • Size up. Choosing the next size up can add more time and engagement. (When in doubt, go bigger.)
  • Try the Funnl Toy. We partnered with West Paw and created a really durable toy designed to hold No-Hide Rolls in place. It helps slow down enthusiastic chewers while adding a layer of mental stimulation.

Remember, chew time isn’t a competition. It’s enrichment. It’s always fun! Different dogs. Different chew styles. Same wholesome recipe, thoughtfully made for the moments that matter.

My dog had diarrhea after eating No-Hide for the first time. Is that normal?

It can happen, and it’s usually temporary. No-Hide is made from real, nutrient-rich ingredients. For some dogs, enjoying a full chew right away can be like introducing a new food without easing into it. A gentle transition helps. Next time, try this:

  • Start with 10–15 minutes of chew time
  • Gradually increase over several days
  • Always provide fresh water

Most dogs adjust quickly once their system gets used to it. If loose stool continues beyond a short adjustment period, or your dog shows other concerning symptoms, discontinue use and consult your veterinarian. New foods sometimes require a little introduction. Slow and steady makes all the difference.

Should I supervise my dog with No-Hide?

Yes. Always. That’s true for No-Hide, bully sticks, bones - anything your dog chews. We can’t express this enough! Chewing is natural. Safe chewing is intentional. Here’s what to know: Dogs don’t chew like we do. They gnaw, scrape, soften, then move pieces to their back teeth to crush and swallow. That’s normal. A little shredding is okay. Some dogs like to “unroll” No-Hide. If they’re working off small pieces, that’s part of the process. Take the small pieces away and discard. Gulping is not okay. If your dog tries to swallow large, flat sections, step in. Remove the chew and redirect. Choosing a chew larger than your dog’s mouth is one of the best ways to prevent this. Know your dog. If you have a known “gulper,” supervise closely. If chewing habits don’t improve over time, long-lasting chews may not be the right enrichment choice. The bottom line? Anything that goes into a dog’s mouth can become a choking risk if it’s too small or swallowed improperly. Size matters. Supervision matters. If your dog attempts to swallow large pieces, calmly remove the chew. Discard any large sections that could be gulped and choose a larger size or a new chew for a more secure setup before offering again. And you are your dog’s best safety tool. For more smart, responsible chew guidance, visit the No-Hide Chew Guide.

What are the calories (kcal) in No-Hides?

Because No-Hides are hand-made, each piece varies slightly in size and weight. Calorie counts are approximate and vary by flavor and size. For the most accurate calorie information, check the individual product page for your specific No-Hide flavor and size.

What are the differences between No-Hide Rolls, Stix, and Strips?

Same wholesome, highly digestible recipe. Different shapes for different chew styles. One thoughtful recipe. Three ways to chew. All tail-wag approved ROLLS Our classic long-lasting chew. Best for dedicated gnawers who love to settle in and savor. Available in multiple sizes (small, medium, and large) to match your dog’s weight, and designed for the longest chew time. Rolls provide a long-lasting chew experience, typically 45 minutes to an hour of pure joy! STIX Smaller, pocket-sized chews about 0.16 oz each. Perfect for small dogs, cats (0-10lbs.) or a quick, satisfying chew session. Great for rewards or on-the-go moments. 15 minute reward! STRIPS Thin, flat, and perfectly portionable. Less commitment than a Roll. More substance than a quick treat. A happy middle ground. Strips are lighter and more pliable than our Rolls, making them ideal for dogs who love to chew but don’t need a full, long gnawing session. You can offer a whole strip for a satisfying treat or tear it into smaller pieces when you want just a little chew moment. They’re great for:

  • Smaller dogs
  • Gentle to moderate chewers
  • Shorter chew sessions
  • Sharing between two pups

Same wholesome, highly digestible recipe , just a thinner, more versatile chew style. Always supervise! That is our Motto! Check out the No-Hide Chew Guide for the best chew for your pup!

What is the coating on No-Hides?

That crave-worthy outer layer? That’s real protein flavor. We gently apply a savory protein coating to the outside of each chew to create that “can’t-wait-to-get-their-paws-on-it” excitement dogs love. It’s made from real ingredients, not artificial sprays, chemical flavor enhancers, or mystery coatings. It’s what gives No-Hide that rich aroma and savory taste that keeps dogs happily engaged from the first sniff to the final gnaw. No synthetic flavorings. No artificial boosters. Just real, simple protein goodness on the outside and wholesome ingredients all the way through. Because a great chew should be long-lasting… and genuinely irresistible!

What makes a dog chew safe?

A safe chew isn’t just about how long it lasts. It’s about what happens while your dog is chewing, and after. Here’s what truly matters:

Digestibility

If a piece is swallowed, can your dog’s body break it down? Chews made from real, digestible food ingredients behave very differently than chemically processed hide or hard, indigestible materials. What goes in should be able to break down safely.

Ingredient integrity

You should know exactly what’s in the chew and where it comes from. Clear sourcing. Recognizable ingredients. No mystery binders. No vague “by-products.” Transparency builds trust.

Proper size and texture

A safe chew encourages gnawing, not gulping. Choosing a chew larger than your dog’s mouth helps promote healthy chewing mechanics and reduces the risk of swallowing large pieces.

Supervision

There is no such thing as a “no-supervision-needed” chew. Even the safest option requires a watchful eye. You are your dog’s best safety tool. At Earth Animal, we built No-Hide around these principles - real ingredients, thoughtful sourcing, proper sizing, and responsible chew education. Because chewing should be enriching. It should be satisfying. And it should be something you feel confident about.

What makes No-Hide different from rawhide?

Both are long-lasting chews that dogs love, the difference is what they're made of and how they're processed. Rawhide is made from animal hides that go through chemical processing. No-Hide is made from real food ingredients, protein, brown rice flour, eggs, olive oil, slow-baked into a highly digestible, long-lasting chew. No animal hides, no synthetic chemicals. Just simple, whole ingredients your dog's body knows how to process.

What's the best No-Hide for power chewers?

Ah yes, the determined, laser-focused, “this-is-my-life-now” chewers. We know them well. For strong, enthusiastic gnawers and power chewers a little strategy goes a long way: Size up (and then maybe size up again). Choose a Roll that’s larger than your dog’s mouth and for true power chewers, go even bigger than you think. A 50 lb dog with serious chew strength will do better with a Large (11") rather than a Medium (7"). More surface area = more engagement. Add a Funnl Toy. We partnered with West Paw to create the Funnl. A durable enrichment toy designed to securely hold No-Hide Rolls. It adds resistance, slows down fast chewers, and turns chew time into mental workout time. Always supervise. Power chewers should be monitored to make sure they’re gnawing appropriately and not attempting to gulp large pieces. Chewing is natural - safe chewing is intentional. And here’s the fun part: sometimes even the toughest chewers surprise us. A new flavor, a larger size, or a little added challenge can suddenly turn “demolition mode” into a long, focused chew session.

  • Rotate flavors. Novelty can naturally slow things down and increase engagement.
  • Offer chews after exercise. A mentally and physically satisfied dog is more likely to settle in and savor.
  • Create a chew ritual. Same calm spot, same routine, less excitement, more focus.
  • Size up. More diameter means more jaw work and more time.

Strong chewer? No problem. Just choose wisely, size confidently, and enjoy the tail wags

Where is No-Hide made?

Proudly made in the USA with globally sourced ingredients. Made with care. Made for happy, healthy chewers. No-Hide chews are crafted in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, in a small, human-food facility where each batch is carefully mixed, baked, and packed with intention. We oversee every step of the process to ensure consistency, quality, and integrity from start to finish. We use thoughtfully sourced proteins like beef, chicken, pork, salmon, and venison, along with simple, recognizable ingredients, chosen for a reason and handled with care. Keeping production close to home allows us to uphold strict standards, ensure clean ingredients without bleaches or synthetics, and deliver a level of transparency you can trust.

Which size is right for my dog or cat?

The golden rule: always choose a chew that's larger than your dog's mouth. This encourages proper gnawing rather than gulping.

Quick Size Guide:

  • Stix: Dogs & cats up to 10 lbs
  • Small Roll (4"): Dogs 10–40 lbs
  • Medium Roll (7"): Dogs 40–70 lbs
  • Large Roll (11"): Dogs 70+ lbs
  • Strips: Great for dogs of all sizes, breakable for training or sharing

When in doubt, size up. For more guidance, visit the No-Hide Chew Guide.

Why do veterinarians warn against rawhide?

Because rawhide is processed animal hide. Many veterinarians caution against rawhide for two primary reasons: Digestibility. Rawhide is made from the inner layer of animal skin. It can be difficult for dogs to break down, and swallowed pieces may swell or sit in the digestive tract, increasing the risk of blockages. Chemical processing. Traditional rawhide is often treated with chemical solutions including dyes and bleaching agents to clean, preserve, and shape the hide into finished chews. That concern is exactly why Dr. Bob Goldstein created No-Hide in 2015. He believed dogs deserved the long-lasting satisfaction of chewing, made from real, digestible food ingredients instead of chemically processed hide. Learn more about Dr. Bob and Susan’s story.

Why does my No-Hide have a different texture than usual?

Because it’s made from real food ingredients, not synthetic binders or artificial fillers. No-Hide chews are crafted using real proteins, brown rice flour, eggs, and olive oil, and just like any real food, natural variation can occur from batch to batch. Factors like moisture and baking can create subtle differences in texture, some chews may feel slightly firmer, softer, or more flexible than others. What you’re noticing is that natural variation, not inconsistency. Every batch is made to the same strict quality and safety standards, without artificial ingredients designed to standardize texture. In short: it may feel a little different, but it’s made the same way, with real ingredients and the same commitment to quality every time.

Why does my No-Hide look or smell different than last time?

Because it’s made from real food ingredients, not artificial flavors or synthetic coatings. No-Hide chews are crafted with real proteins like chicken, beef, pork, or salmon, and just like any real food, natural variations can occur from batch to batch. Subtle differences in aroma, color, and appearance are completely normal. What you’re noticing is that natural variation, not inconsistency. Every batch is made to the same strict quality and safety standards, without artificial additives to standardize smell or flavor. In short: it may smell a little different, but it’s made the same way, with real ingredients and the same commitment to quality every time

Why is No-Hide priced higher than some other rawhide-free chews?

No-Hide is different by design, veterinary formulated with thoughtfully sourced, real food ingredients and crafted for digestibility, making it gentler on your dog while still delivering long-lasting chewing satisfaction, without bleaches, formaldehydes, synthetics, or harsh chemical processing. You’re paying for peace of mind, for true quality, and for a chew you can feel good about giving every time. Because not all rawhide-free chews are created equal. Many lower-priced alternatives rely on highly processed starches, additives, or heavy binding agents to hold their shape. We choose a different way. Quality is never accidental. There are cheaper ways to make a chew. We choose better ones. Trusted ingredients. Careful craftsmanship. Thoughtful sourcing. We hold our partners to the highest standards, because the higher the quality ingredients the more expensive to produce. Because we truly believe what your dog chews matters.

Who is No-Hide for?

No-Hide chews are for the dog and cat parents who want to recognize every ingredient, because you care as much about what goes into your dog or cat as what you eat. If you choose real food for your family, No-Hide is the chew that holds to that standard: ingredients you recognize, made to last, and worth every chew. The more intentional choice, and your dog or cat will let you know you got it right.

Why do No-Hide chews cost more than come other rawhide free chews?

No-Hide is different by design, veterinary formulated with thoughtfully sourced, real food ingredients and crafted for digestibility, making it gentler on your dog while still delivering long-lasting chewing satisfaction, without bleaches, formaldehydes, synthetics, or harsh chemical processing. You're paying for peace of mind, for true quality, and for a chew you can feel good about giving every time.

Because not all rawhide-free chews are created equal. Many lower-priced alternatives rely on highly processed starches, additives, or heavy binding agents to hold their shape. We choose a different way.

There's also a practical argument. Many rawhide-free alternatives are gone in 10 to 15 minutes. No-Hide lasts over 4x longer than other rawhide free chews*. When you track cost per hour of enrichment rather than cost per bag, No-Hide chews consistently hold their own — and often come out ahead. The twice-baked process isn't just about quality. It's what creates the texture and density that makes a chew last.

Wisdom

Can I mix Wisdom with other foods?

Absolutely. In fact, we believe variety can be a good thing. Wisdom is formulated to meet Association of American Feed Control Officials(AAFCO) nutrient profiles for complete and balanced nutrition, which means it can be fed on its own with confidence. But it’s also designed to work beautifully alongside other foods. Use it your way: As a topper. Add a scoop to elevate what’s already in the bowl, more real nutrition, more flavor, more excitement for picky eaters. As part of a rotation. Nutrition isn’t static. Rotating proteins and formats can help support a more diverse, resilient microbiome. As a complete meal. Feed Wisdom on its own, it delivers complete and balanced nutrition for all life stages. A little goes a long way. Wisdom is nutrient-dense by design, so when using it as a topper, simply adjust the rest of the bowl to keep things balanced.

Can I rotate between Wisdom recipes?

Yes. Feed with intention. Rotate with purpose. We believe nutrition isn’t static, and your dog’s bowl shouldn’t be either. Rotating Wisdom recipes brings variety, supports the microbiome, and reflects how animals are meant to eat: diverse, whole, and ever-changing. Why rotate:

  • Diversity builds resilience. Different proteins and ingredients nourish the body in different ways—supporting a stronger, more balanced system
  • A thriving microbiome. Variety helps keep the gut ecosystem active, engaged, and adaptable
  • Less pickiness, more instinct. Dogs raised on variety tend to stay open to real food
  • Clarity over time. Rotation helps you understand what your dog truly thrives on

How to rotate:

  • Bag to bag. Finish one, begin another recipe, simple and effective
  • Meal to meal. Alternate recipes between breakfast and dinner
  • In the same bowl. Mix recipes together for built-in variety

A few things to keep in mind:

  • Every Wisdom recipe is complete and balanced, so you can rotate freely, without gaps
  • Sensitive stomach? Ease the transition over a few days
  • Pay attention. Your dog will tell you what works

Many pet parents rotate between single-protein recipes and our “From the…” blends, bringing together simplicity and diversity in every bowl.

Train smarter. Use tiny pieces for everyday wins. Save the bigger bites for the breakthroughs — the "you nailed it" moments.

Can puppies eat Wisdom?

Yes! Most Wisdom recipes are formulated for All Life Stages, including puppies.

When feeding puppies:

  • Look for recipes labeled "All Life Stages"
  • Puppies need more calories per pound than adult dogs, follow the puppy feeding guidelines on the packaging
  • Feed smaller, more frequent meals (3-4 times daily for young puppies)
  • Ensure fresh water is always available

Important: Our From the Soil (insect-based) recipe is formulated for adult maintenance only and is not appropriate for puppies or pregnant/nursing dogs.

The nutrient-dense nature of Wisdom makes it an excellent choice for growing puppies who need concentrated nutrition. As always, consult your vet for guidance specific to your puppy's breed and growth rate.

Can puppies have Wisdom Jerky?

Yes, and we believe starting them young matters. What you feed early helps shape a lifetime of health. That’s why we make real food treats worthy of that beginning. Wisdom Jerky can be introduced once puppies are fully weaned and eating solid food, typically around 8 weeks. Built for growing dogs. Soft. Chewy. Easy to break. Gentle on developing teeth, and made with real, nourishing ingredients to support healthy growth. Start small. Stay thoughtful.

  • Break into tiny, puppy-sized pieces
  • Begin with 1–2 pieces to ensure they tolerate it well
  • Keep treats under 10% of daily calories, especially important for growing pups

Train early. Feed better. Wisdom Jerky makes a powerful training reward during those early learning months, real food they’ll stay focused on. A note on recipes: From the Soil (insect-based) Jerky follows the same life-stage guidance as the food. If you have specific concerns, your veterinarian can help guide you. Because what they learn early, and what they eat early, sticks. Start with better. Stay with better.

Does Wisdom need to be refrigerated?

No. And that’s the beauty of how it’s made. Our process does the preserving. Wisdom is gently air-dried to remove moisture, the element that drives spoilage, while protecting the nutrients that matter most. The result: real food that’s naturally shelf-stable, without refrigeration. Simple to store. Easy to feed. No freezer. No fridge. No thawing. Just reseal the bag and store in a cool, dry place. Freshness you can trust. Once opened, Wisdom stays fresh for about 4–6 weeks under normal conditions, thanks to its resealable design.

How do I transition my dog to Wisdom?

Slow is kind. Thoughtful is better. When you’re introducing real, whole-food nutrition, give your dog’s system the time it needs to adjust. A gradual transition helps the gut adapt, and sets the foundation for long-term success. A simple 7–10 day path: Days 1–3

  • 75% current food
  • 25% Wisdom

Days 4–6

  • 50% current food
  • 50% Wisdom

Days 7–9

  • 25% current food
  • 75% Wisdom

Day 10+

  • 100% Wisdom

Follow your dog’s lead Every dog is different. Some move through quickly. Others, especially those with more sensitive systems, may need a little more time (up to 2 weeks or more). If you notice loose stool, that’s your signal to slow down, not stop. Stay at the current step a bit longer before moving forward. What to expect As your dog transitions to Wisdom, many pet parents notice:

  • Smaller, firmer stools
  • More consistent energy
  • Increased enthusiasm at mealtime

Because when the body recognizes real food, it responds. One bowl at a time. One step at a time. That’s how lasting change happens.

How does Wisdom compare to fresh or raw food?

Wisdom delivers the benefits of fresh and raw, without the tradeoffs. Real food, as it should be. Like fresh and raw diets, Wisdom starts with whole ingredients, real muscle meat, nutrient-rich organs, and thoughtfully chosen fruits, vegetables, and grains. It’s gently air-dried to preserve what matters most: nutrients, digestibility, and flavor. No artificial preservatives. No shortcuts. The difference is in the doing. Fresh and raw require prep, refrigeration, and careful handling. Wisdom doesn’t. Ready to feed. Ready for life.

  • No freezer. No fridge.
  • No thawing. No mess.
  • No concerns around raw meat handling.
  • Just open, scoop, and serve.

Consistency you can trust. Every serving of Wisdom is complete, balanced, and consistent—crafted in our own kitchen, not assembled meal by meal. Nourishment, without compromise. You get the integrity of real food and the benefits of gentle processing, without the inconvenience or variability of fresh or raw diets.

Deeply nourishing. Radically simple. Exceptional nutrition.

How is Wisdom rated by independent reviewers?

Let’s just say, it speaks for itself. Wisdom has earned a 5 out of 5 star rating from Dog Food Advisor, one of the most trusted independent voices in pet nutrition.

Five of our recipes: Chicken, Turkey, From the Land, From the Sea, and From the Air, received the highest possible rating.

What goes into a 5-star rating? Dog Food Advisor evaluates foods based on:

  • Ingredient quality
  • Nutritional integrity
  • Overall formulation

A 5-star rating isn’t handed out easily. It reflects their highest level of confidence in what’s in the bowl. But here’s the thing, We didn’t create Wisdom to earn stars. We created it to raise the standard.

And while we’re proud of the recognition, we believe something even more important: You should be able to see the difference for yourself. Read the ingredients. Look for real, named proteins. Notice what’s not there. Then decide. Because trust isn’t given. It’s earned, ingredient by ingredient, batch by batch.

How many calories are in Wisdom?

Wisdom is air-dried, moisture removed, nutrition concentrated. So every bite carries more fuel, more nourishment, more purpose. Which means: You feed less. And your dog gets more. Not empty calories. Real ones. It varies by recipe, so the exact calorie count is always listed right where you need it:

  • On the bag
  • On the product page
  • In the Calorie Content Statement and Guaranteed Analysis

Start with our feeding guidelines. Then adjust. Every dog is different, activity level, metabolism, life stage. Let their body condition guide you. A good rule to remember: Because Wisdom is nutrient-dense, a smaller scoop can do a bigger job. This isn’t about feeding more. It’s about feeding better.

How many Wisdom Jerky treats can I give my dog per day?

Treats should enhance the diet, not replace it. As a general rule, treats should make up no more than 10% of your dog’s daily calories. Wisdom Jerky is real food, so a little goes a long way. Daily guide:

  • Small dogs (under 20 lbs): 1–2 strips
  • Medium dogs (20–50 lbs): 2–4 strips
  • Large dogs (50+ lbs): 4–6 strips

Make every piece count. Wisdom Jerky is soft and easy to tear, perfect for breaking into smaller pieces for training, rewarding more often without overdoing it. Balance matters. If you’re treating throughout the day, simply adjust your dog’s meals to keep things in balance, especially for dogs on a weight management plan. Check your package for exact calorie details per strip.

How much Wisdom should I feed my dog?

Because Wisdom is truly nutrient-dense, every bite delivers more of what your dog actually needs, and less of what they don’t. We gently remove moisture through our air-drying process, not nutrients. What remains is concentrated, high-quality nutrition from real muscle meat and organs, naturally rich in essential vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and healthy fats. This means your dog’s body gets more usable nourishment per serving. So you feed less, but your dog gets more. More nourishment. More satisfaction. More from every bowl. Because the body isn’t just full, it’s fulfilled. What that means for feeding: Start with the guidelines on the bag based on your dog’s weight, then adjust based on activity level, age, and body condition. A few things to keep in mind:

  • Portions will look smaller than kibble, that’s the point
  • Active dogs may need more; less active dogs may need less
  • Puppies and nursing mothers have increased nutritional needs (see packaging)

When in doubt, your veterinarian can help tailor feeding to your dog’s specific need

How should I store Wisdom Jerky?

Keep it simple. That’s the point. Cool. Dry. Out of the sun. Reseal the bag and you’re done. No fridge. No fuss. Air-drying removes the moisture that causes spoilage, so Wisdom Jerky stays shelf-stable without artificial preservatives. A few small habits go a long way:

  • Press out excess air before resealing
  • Use within 30 days of opening for peak freshness
  • Keep it away from heat and humidity (not next to the stove or dishwasher)

Unopened, it stays fresh until the “best by” date on the bag. Real food. Designed to travel well.

Is Wisdom a complete and balanced diet?

Yes! Wisdom is complete and balanced for All Life Stages. Formulated by Dr. Bob Goldstein, every recipe is designed to meet AAFCO standards, supporting dogs from puppyhood through their senior years. But completeness is just the baseline. What makes Wisdom different is the quality of that nutrition. We use thoughtfully sourced proteins, including nutrient-dense organs, paired with whole food ingredients to deliver naturally occurring vitamins, minerals, and essential nutrients in forms the body can recognize and use. That’s what allows Wisdom to nourish dogs across every life stage, not by adding more fillers, but by starting with better inputs. And while Wisdom can absolutely be fed as a sole diet, we believe in something more: variety. Rotational feeding matters. Different proteins. Different nutrients. Different benefits. Rotation helps: – Support a more diverse and resilient microbiome – Reduce ingredient fatigue and sensitivities – Better reflect how animals are meant to eat over time Wisdom was designed for this. Our recipes work beautifully on their own, or as part of a rotational approach, Because real nutrition should evolve and your dog's diet should too. And your dog’s diet shouldn’t be either. That’s the difference between meeting a standard, and raising it.

Is Wisdom good for dogs with sensitive stomachs?

It’s built with them in mind. At Earth Animal, we believe health starts in the gut. When digestion is supported, everything else begins to fall into place. That philosophy, led by Dr. Bob Goldstein, is at the core of every Wisdom recipe. Why many sensitive dogs do well on Wisdom: Gentle by design Air-drying uses low temperatures, avoiding the harsh, repeated heat of extrusion, helping preserve nutrients and making the food easier on the digestive system. Real food. Nothing to decode. We use whole, recognizable ingredients. No artificial additives. No fillers. No vague or “mystery” inputs that can trigger unnecessary stress on the gut. Keep it simple when it matters Our Chicken and Turkey recipes are single-protein options, ideal for dogs who do better with fewer variables. Leave out what doesn’t belong No corn. No wheat. No soy. No artificial preservatives. Just clean, purposeful nutrition. What many pet parents notice:

  • Firmer, more consistent stools
  • Less gas and digestive upset
  • Steadier energy
  • A healthier skin and coat

Not overnight. But often within a few weeks, because the body is finally working with the food, not against it. A thoughtful approach Every dog is different. If your dog has known sensitivities or digestive challenges, take it slow, 10–14 days or longer, and consult your veterinarian when needed.

Is Wisdom good for senior dogs?

Aging isn’t a slowdown. It’s a shift. And nutrition should meet them there. Wisdom was built to support dogs through every stage of life, including the later ones, where comfort, digestibility, and real nourishment matter most. Why Wisdom works well for seniors: Gentle on the system Air-dried, not heavily processed, making it easier for aging digestive systems to break down and absorb what they need. More nutrition in every bite Senior dogs often eat less, but their need for quality doesn’t decrease. Wisdom is nutrient-dense, so smaller portions still deliver meaningful nourishment. Protein that supports, not overwhelms We focus on clean, digestible muscle and organ proteins to help maintain strength and muscle tone—without excess the body has to work to eliminate. Flexible for changing needs The naturally soft, jerky-like texture is easy to enjoy—and if needed, just add a splash of warm water to soften it further for sensitive teeth or gums. A note on recipes All Wisdom recipes are crafted with purpose. Our From the Soil recipe is formulated for adult maintenance, making it a thoughtful option for seniors (just not for puppies). Every senior dog is different. If your dog has specific health needs, it’s always worth checking in with your veterinarian to ensure the best fit. Because growing older doesn’t mean needing less. It means needing better.

Is Wisdom grain-free?

Wisdom recipes include wholesome grains like quinoa and oats, gentle, easily digestible options that many dogs thrive on.

Dr. Bob Goldstein chose to include these beneficial grains because they provide valuable nutrients and fiber that support healthy digestion.

If your dog has a diagnosed grain allergy, check the full ingredient list on each recipe page. We clearly label all ingredients.

If you're unsure what's right for your dog, we recommend discussing with your veterinarian.

Is Wisdom safe for dogs with allergies?

Yes, It can be, when you know what your dog needs to avoid. Start with what’s inside. Wisdom is built on simple, transparent recipes, real ingredients you can recognize, nothing hidden behind vague terms or unnecessary additives. Thoughtfully sourced. Carefully chosen.

  • Novel proteins like quail, duck, and goose in From the Air
  • Alternative proteins like insects in From the Soil
  • A plant-based recipe, From the Seed, for dogs with multiple animal protein sensitivities
  • No artificial colors, flavors, or synthetic preservatives. Ever

Because when it comes to sensitivities, every ingredient matters But every dog is different. Allergies are individual, and what works for one may not work for another. What to consider:

  • Always review the full ingredient list for your dog’s specific triggers
  • Wisdom is made in a facility that handles multiple proteins
  • Some recipes include ingredients like eggs, grains (such as quinoa and oats), or fish

Start with clarity. If your dog has known or suspected food allergies: Work with your veterinarian to identify specific triggers Choose a recipe that avoids those ingredients, often starting with a novel protein Transition slowly and monitor closely Real food gives you options. Thoughtful formulation gives you confidence. Because when you understand what goes in, you can make better choices for what comes next.

My dog won't eat Wisdom. What should I do?

First, don’t give up too quickly. When dogs are used to highly processed kibble with artificial flavor enhancers, real food can take a minute to click. But once it does, it changes everything. Start by bringing the food to life. Add a splash of warm water or pet-friendly bone broth. It unlocks the natural aroma of real meat and organs, exactly what dogs are meant to crave. Ease them in. Transition slowly: 90% current food → 10% Wisdom, then build over 2–3 weeks. Let their system, and their taste, adjust. Make it irresistible. Use Wisdom as a topper first. Let them discover it, not resist it. Stay consistent. Offer it at regular mealtimes. No pressure. No grazing. Dogs thrive on routine, and curiosity often wins. Try another recipe. Just like us, dogs have preferences. If one protein doesn’t land, another might. Explore the range. Because here’s the truth: Wisdom is built differently, real ingredients, gently air-dried, deeply nourishing. We believe in it because we’ve seen what it can do. Sometimes it just takes a little patience to get there. And if you need a nudge, bone broth helps. A lot. If after a thoughtful transition your dog still isn’t interested, that’s okay too. Every dog is an individual. Try another Wisdom recipe, or we’ll help you find the right fit. We’re here for you: customerservice@earthanimal.com | 855-326-4625

What does GAP certification mean?

GAP stands for Global Animal Partnership, one of the largest animal welfare certification programs in North America.

Every participating farm undergoes third-party audits to verify they meet GAP's standards for animal welfare, which cover three key areas:

  • Health and Productivity
  • Natural Living
  • Emotional Well-Being

What is air-drying?

Gently Air-Dried. Deeply nourishing. Less heat. More life. Air-drying is a slow, gentle process that removes moisture while protecting the nutrients food naturally holds—no high heat, no shortcuts. Why it matters: • Nutrients remain intact and easier to absorb

  • Gentler on digestion than heavily processed foods
  • Creates a nutrient-dense food, you feed less per meal
  • Preserves real, usable nutrition

Air-dried at Riverstone, our SQF-certified kitchen in Maryland, where we control the quality from start to finish. Unlike kibble made through high-heat extrusion, air-dried food preserves more of the natural nutrition.

The result is shelf-stable food with many benefits of fresh feeding, minus the refrigeration and hassle. Just open the bag and serve.

What is the texture of Wisdom Jerky?

Not hard. Not greasy. Not trying to be anything it’s not. Soft. Chewy. Tearable. The kind of texture dogs lean into. Air-dried, not overdone. That gentle process creates a tender, pliable jerky—easy to bend, easy to break, satisfying to chew. Made to move with you.

  • Tears clean for training
  • Gentle on teeth, from puppies to seniors
  • Holds its shape without leaving a mess behind

Think real jerky. The good kind. Just the right resistance to make it worth chewing. Because texture isn’t just feel, it’s experience. And dogs know the difference. Wisdom Jerky. Tear it. Share it.

What makes Wisdom Jerky different from other dog treats?

Most treats are an afterthought. Wisdom Jerky is built like food. Same foundation. Same standards. Every recipe starts with the exact core protein blends found in our Wisdom foods. From the Land Jerky features the same beef, bison, and venison as From the Land Dog Food. No shortcuts. No “treat-grade” ingredients. Just real food, carried through. Our process is the difference. Gently air-dried, not blasted with high heat, so nutrients stay intact and proteins remain easier to digest. Just real, pure ingredients. No fillers. No by-products. No artificial anything. Just purposeful ingredients your dog’s body can actually use. We don’t outsource our standards. Every batch is made in our own kitchen, Riverstone in Maryland, so quality is never a question. Sourced with intention. The same responsible sourcing as our food - GAP-rated poultry, grass-fed meats, wild-caught fish. Because treats should live up to the same standards as the bowl. This isn’t just a reward. It’s nourishment, in a different form.

What proteins/recipes does Wisdom come in?

Seven recipes. Seven ways to nourish. One shared standard. We don’t think in “flavors.” We think in sources, landscapes, and purpose, each recipe rooted in where it comes from, and what it brings to the bowl.

For simplicity. For sensitivity. For going back to basics. Single-Protein Recipes

  • Chicken — GAP-rated chicken, thoughtfully raised, paired with nutrient-rich organs and sustainably sourced sardines. Clean. Digestible. Foundational.
  • Turkey — Lean, gentle turkey with organs and sardines. A quiet, steady choice for dogs who do best with less complexity.

For variety. For instinct. For the full spectrum of nutrition. “From the…” Recipes

  • From the Land — Grass-fed venison, beef, and bison. Red meats, rich and grounding. Strength from open pastures.
  • From the Sea — Wild-caught catfish and clams. Mineral-rich, deeply nourishing. Drawn from clean waters.
  • From the Air — Quail, duck, and goose. Diverse poultry, thoughtfully sourced. Lighter proteins with depth.
  • From the Seed — A plant-forward recipe with lentils, sunflower, alfalfa, quinoa, and potatoes. Proof that nourishment can come from the soil, too.
  • From the Soil — Crickets and black soldier fly larvae. A more sustainable path forward. Nutrient-dense, low impact. (Adult dogs only.)

What they all share:

  • Real, whole ingredients, nothing anonymous
  • Muscle + organ nutrition for depth and balance
  • Made in our own Riverstone Kitchen, Maryland
  • Formulated to meet AAFCO standards for complete and balanced nutrition

Different sources. Different strengths. One philosophy. Choose one. Rotate many. Follow your dog’s lead.

Because better food doesn’t come from one place. It comes from understanding them all.

Where is Wisdom Dog Food made?

Wisdom is crafted in the USA at Riverstone, our own SQF-certified facility in Maryland. We didn’t partner with a co-packer. We built our own. Riverstone was designed from the ground up to make food differently, under Safe Quality Food (SQF) certification, a globally recognized standard for food safety, quality, and traceability, benchmarked by the Global Food Safety Initiative. This isn’t just a certification. It’s a commitment to accountability at every level. Because we own the facility, we oversee everything: – Ingredient sourcing and verification – Full lot traceability from ingredient to final bag – Rigorous quality and safety testing before any product is released Every batch is made with intention, and nothing leaves Riverstone until it meets our standards. At the center of it all is our gentle air-drying process, a slower, lower-temperature method that helps preserve nutrients, protect protein integrity, and maintain the natural flavor of real food. It’s not built on shortcuts or high-heat processing. We own the process. We stand behind every batch. We can tell you exactly where your dog’s food comes from, and how it was made. That’s Riverstone. That’s Wisdom.

Who formulated Wisdom Dog Food?

Wisdom is formulated by Dr. Bob Goldstein, a holistic veterinarian with more than 45 years of experience and deep expertise in canine and feline nutrition. He co-founded Earth Animal in 1979 with his wife, Susan, guided by a belief that still defines everything we do: Heart + Science. Every recipe is crafted under their direct oversight, from ingredient selection to production in our own Riverstone Kitchen in Maryland, where our gentle air-drying process protects nutrients, supports digestibility, and preserves the integrity of real food. This isn’t outsourced. It’s not built on shortcuts or high-heat processing. We own our standards. We control our process. We do it differently, on purpose. Because how you make it matters just as much as what you make. Learn more about Dr. Bob and Susan’s story.

Who is Wisdom NOT for?

Not always. And we believe in being upfront about that. Wisdom is crafted for pet parents who prioritize real ingredients, thoughtful sourcing, and gentle processing. If that’s what you’re looking for, you’re in the right place. But there are a few situations where another path may make more sense: If you’re simply looking for the lowest-cost option. Wisdom is a premium food, built without shortcuts. That means it’s not designed to compete on price, it’s designed to deliver more in every bowl. If your dog requires a prescription diet. When a veterinarian recommends a therapeutic food for a specific medical condition, that guidance should always come first. If your dog has severe, diagnosed food allergies. We offer transparent ingredient lists and a range of protein options, but we do make multiple recipes in the same kitchen. For dogs with life-threatening allergies, it’s best to work closely with your veterinarian. If you’re considering From the Soil for certain life stages. Our insect-based recipe is formulated for adult maintenance only, not for puppies or pregnant or nursing dogs. All other Wisdom recipes are formulated for All Life Stages. We’re not trying to be everything to everyone. We’re here for those who want more from their dog’s food—and believe how it’s made matters just as much as what goes in.

Why do the Wisdom pieces look different from batch to batch?

Because Wisdom is made from real food. And real food doesn’t come off an assembly line looking identical every time. That kind of perfect uniformity usually comes from heavy processing, artificial colors, fillers, or manufacturing designed to make food look the same, rather than be the same in quality. That’s not how we make Wisdom. Wisdom is crafted from real muscle meat, nutrient-rich organs, and whole ingredients, then gently air-dried in our own kitchen. So yes, natural variation can happen. And in our view, that’s not a flaw. It’s part of the integrity of real food. What you may notice: Color may vary. Different proteins, organs, fruits, vegetables, and grains all carry their own natural pigments. Seasonal and agricultural variation can also subtly influence appearance. We don’t use artificial colors to force sameness from batch to batch. Size and shape may vary. Wisdom is air-dried, not extruded into perfectly uniform pellets. That means pieces may differ slightly in size, edge, or shape. Real ingredients and a gentler process create a more natural result. Texture may vary slightly. Because moisture levels in whole ingredients can vary naturally, one batch may feel a bit firmer or softer than another. That’s normal in a minimally processed food made from real ingredients. What never changes: Our standards. Every batch is still made to the same nutritional targets and the same uncompromising sourcing and manufacturing expectations. That means every bag still delivers:

  • The same high-quality ingredient standards
  • The same thoughtful sourcing
  • The same complete and balanced nutrition to meet AAFCO standards
  • The same careful production at Riverstone, our own SQF-certified facility in Maryland

In other words: The look may shift a little. The quality does not. In fact, a little variation is often one of the clearest signs that what you’re holding is real food—made with real ingredients, not engineered to look fake-perfect. Why does Wisdom cost more than regular kibble?

Because it’s not made like kibble. And it’s not made with the same ingredients. Real food. No shortcuts. Wisdom starts with high-quality muscle meat, nutrient-rich organs, and whole foods, never the fillers, meals, or by-products used to bulk up conventional kibble. Our process is the difference. Most kibble is made with high heat and pressure. Wisdom is gently air-dried, preserving nutrients, protecting protein integrity, and honoring the food itself. It takes longer. It costs more. It’s worth it. More nutrition in every bite. Wisdom is naturally nutrient-dense, so you feed less. Smaller portions. More nourishment. A bag goes further than you’d expect. We don’t outsource our standards. Every batch is made in our own kitchen, Riverstone, so we control quality from start to finish. No compromises. No corners cut. Sourcing you can stand behind. Humanely raised, responsibly sourced proteins, GAP-rated poultry, grass-fed meats, and wild-caught fish. Ingredients raised with care simply cost more. And they should. Look beyond the bag. When you calculate cost per serving, not cost per pound, Wisdom is far more comparable to premium foods than it first appears. And for many dogs, the difference shows, in digestion, vitality, and overall health. Because how it’s made matters. And what goes in matters even more.

Why does Wisdom focus on gut health?

This is it. This is everything. The foundation for health starts here. Dr. Bob Goldstein, holistic veterinarian, founder, and lifelong advocate for animal wellness, has spent over 45 years coming back to one truth: Health begins in the gut. Not as a trend. As biology. Because the gut does more than digest food. It shapes the immune system. It fuels energy. It determines how nutrients are absorbed, and how the body responds.

  • Nearly 70% of the immune system lives in the gut
  • When digestion works, everything works better, energy, coat, mood, resilience
  • When it doesn’t, the whole animal feels it

So we built Wisdom differently. Not around trends. Around function. Our process protects what matters. Gentle air-drying preserves nutrients, without the damage of high heat. Our ingredients work with the body. Real muscle meat. Nutrient-rich organs. Whole foods the body recognizes and knows how to use. Our recipes support balance. Quinoa and oats provide gentle, functional fiber, helping maintain healthy digestion and a thriving microbiome. And we leave out what doesn’t belong. No artificial additives. Nothing that disrupts what the body is trying to do naturally. This is gut-first nutrition. Not a feature. A philosophy. Because when you nourish the gut, you nourish the whole animal.

Why does Wisdom have lower protein than some other premium foods?

You’ll see some foods boasting 35–40%+ protein. Wisdom typically ranges from 24–29%. At first glance, that can look like less. In reality, it’s often more, where it matters. Protein isn’t just a number. It’s what the body can actually use. That’s called bioavailability, and it changes everything. A food can claim high protein on paper, but if that protein is heavily processed, denatured, or difficult to digest, much of it simply passes through unused. What matters isn’t how much goes in. It’s how much your dog can absorb, utilize, and benefit from. Here’s how Wisdom approaches it differently: Real muscle + organ meats. No shortcuts. We use whole, identifiable proteins, not anonymous meals or by-products. Many high-protein foods rely on rendered meat meals, processed at extreme temperatures, often reducing digestibility. Whole, gently handled proteins are simply easier for the body to recognize and use. Air-dried. Not extruded. Kibble is made through high-heat extrusion, where ingredients are cooked multiple times at high temperatures. Wisdom is air-dried at low temperatures, helping preserve protein structure and amino acid integrity, so more of what’s in the food remains available to your dog. More protein isn’t always better. Better protein is better. Excess protein the body can’t use doesn’t build strength, it gets broken down and eliminated. The goal isn’t maximum input. It’s meaningful nourishment, protein balanced with fats, fiber, and micronutrients to support the whole animal. This is the philosophy behind every recipe, guided by Dr. Bob Goldstein: Give the body what it needs, and nothing it doesn’t.

Why does Wisdom use both muscle and organ proteins?

Because real nutrition doesn't come from parts. It comes from the whole.

At Wisdom, we don't formulate with shortcuts or anonymous inputs. We build recipes from purposeful, whole-animal nutrition — because that's what dogs are designed to thrive on.

Muscle + organ proteins, together; create something complete.

Muscle proteins provide the foundation: Clean, high-quality protein rich in essential amino acids that support strength, repair, and sustained energy.

Organ proteins go further. They are some of the most nutrient-dense foods on the planet, delivering what muscle alone simply cannot:

  • Liver — a natural source of vitamin A, B12, iron, and folate, supporting healthy vision, vitality, and immune function
  • Heart — rich in CoQ10 and essential minerals that fuel cellular energy and cardiovascular health
  • Gizzard — provides key nutrients like zinc, iron, and naturally occurring compounds that support joint health

Why it matters where it comes from. Not all protein is created equal.

In many conventional foods, ingredients labeled as "meat meal" are rendered, and ingredients listed simply as "meat" can come from a wide range of animal sources, often processed at high heat and sourced without meaningful welfare standards.

That's not our way.

We use real, identifiable proteins — humanely and responsibly sourced, held to higher standards, and handled with care from start to finish.

No vague terms. No shortcuts. No outsourcing our values.

If it says chicken liver, beef heart, or turkey gizzard, that's exactly what's in the bowl.

Closer to how dogs were meant to eat. When muscle and organ proteins come together, the result is a broader, more complete nutrient profile — one that reflects whole-prey nutrition and supports the body as an integrated system.

Not just protein. Not just vitamins. But a deeper, more functional kind of nourishment.

Why is air-dried better than kibble?

Most kibble is made through extrusion, a high-heat, high-pressure process designed for efficiency and scale. Air-drying takes a different approach. At Riverstone, our gentle air-drying process slowly removes moisture using low temperatures and controlled airflow. This creates a shelf-stable food while helping protect the natural structure and nutritional value of real ingredients. This is how we deliver exceptional nutrition. Nutrient Integrity: By avoiding high heat, more of what matters stays intact, proteins, vitamins, and naturally occurring nutrients. Digestive Support: Gently processed ingredients can be easier for the body to break down and utilize, supporting digestion and nutrient absorption. Concentrated Nutrition: With moisture removed, every bite delivers more nutrition. You feed less per meal, and a bag goes further than expected. No High-Heat Shortcuts: Air-drying takes time, precision, and control, done in our own Riverstone Kitchen, where every batch is crafted with intention. Our food made differently, with a process designed to protect, not compromise. That’s exceptional nutrition.

Can I bathe my dog after applying the Spot-On?

Wait at least 24 hours after application before bathing or submerging your dog in water. This allows the oils to fully absorb and disperse. If you bathe your dog with soap or shampoo after that, reapply the Spot-On as soon as they're dry.

Can I use the Bug Spray on my cat?

We get it, if it works for your dog, you want to use it for everyone. But cats? They’re a little different. Our Herbal Bug Spray is not designed for cats. Cats process essential oils differently, so what works beautifully for dogs isn’t always the right fit for them. What Should I Use Instead? We’ve got you, and your cat, covered:

Both are made specifically with cats in mind.

Can I use the powder for both my dog and cat?

Yes! The Daily Internal Powder is formulated for both dogs and cats 3 months of age and older. Just follow the weight-based dosing guidelines for each pet.

Can I use this collar on a pregnant or nursing dog or cat?

When it comes to pregnancy and nursing, we always recommend taking a more cautious approach. Our Flea & Tick Herbal Collars have not been specifically tested for use on pregnant or nursing dogs or cats, so we recommend avoiding use during this time. What We Recommend Every animal, and every stage of life, is different. For guidance on protecting your dog or cat during pregnancy or nursing, we suggest working closely with your veterinarian to find the safest approach. Our Philosophy We believe in doing what’s best for your animal at every stage, and sometimes that means pausing and choosing a more tailored plan.

Can I use this on my puppy?

Yes, our Flea & Tick Herbal Collars can be used on puppies 16 weeks (4 months) and older. We know you want to protect them from the very beginning, and the best approach is to start early and stay consistent. Fit Matters (Especially for Growing Puppies)

  • Always allow two fingers of space between the collar and your puppy’s neck
  • Check the fit often and loosen as they grow
  • Trim any excess length for a secure, comfortable fit

What to Expect The collar is designed to be worn, not chewed or licked. Occasional licking can happen, but if your puppy is chewing or persistently mouthing the collar, it’s best to remove it and adjust the fit. Some puppies may react to the herbal taste with temporary drooling, this typically passes quickly. When to Pause If you notice:

  • Excessive drooling
  • Upset stomach
  • Unusual behavior

Remove the collar, offer fresh water, and contact your veterinarian if symptoms continue. A Thoughtful Start Puppies are still developing, so what you use, and how you use it, matters. For best results, pair with a daily internal product to support protection from the inside out

Do herbal flea & tick products really work?

Yes, when used consistently and as a complete system. Nature’s Protection works differently than chemical pesticides. Instead of using neurotoxins to kill pests, it helps make your dog or cat less appealing to fleas and ticks, inside and out. Why pet parents choose it:

  • No harsh pesticides or neurotoxins
  • Works with your dog’s body, not against it
  • Supports skin, coat, and supports the immune system

How to get results: Use daily internal support (powders or drops) + external protection (collar or spot-on, and add additional layers of spray or shampoo if desired). Together, they create a complete system.

What to expect:

  • Fewer fleas and ticks over time
  • Results that build with consistent daily use
  • In heavy pest areas, occasional pests may still appear, but are less likely to stay

Used the right way, every day, this system works, backed by over 45 years of trusted use. And the best part: it’s not just effective, it’s genuinely good for your dog or cat.

Do the drops contain alcohol?

Yes, the Daily Herbal Drops contain alcohol as a carrier for the herbal extracts, which is standard for tincture-based supplements. The amount given per dose is very small and is generally well-tolerated by dogs and cats. If you prefer an alcohol-free option, consider our Daily Internal Powder or Daily Herbal Internal Powder (Yeast-Free)

Do you offer a satisfaction guarantee?

Our Promise to You We stand behind Nature’s Protection, 100% If you’re not seeing the results you expected, we’re here to help. Our team will work with you to troubleshoot, adjust your routine, or make it right. Before reaching out, we recommend:

  • Anywhere bugs are out doing their thing

This is your go-to layer before you head outside Why Families Love It A plant-based alternative to harsh insecticides, without sacrificing effectiveness.

Does the Herbal Shampoo contain parabens or other preservatives?

No. And it doesn’t need to. We believe what you leave out matters just as much as what you put in. Our Flea & Tick Herbal Shampoo is intentionally simple:

  • Cedarwood oil
  • Peppermint oil
  • A gentle soap base

That’s it. No layers. No extras. No disguises. The fresh, minty scent? It comes from the plants themselves, not added perfumes, fragrances or dyes. What you won’t find

  • No parabens
  • No DEET
  • No artificial dyes
  • No added fragrance

Nothing unnecessary. Nothing to cover anything up. Why it works Cedarwood and peppermint aren’t there for scent alone. They’re chosen with purpose, paired with a clean soap base to wash, refresh, and support a less welcoming environment for pests. Simple, but not basic. Minimal, but intentional. A small note Close the bottle after use. Store it somewhere cool and dry.

Does this collar have a breakaway feature?

Of course, it’s a cat! We wouldn't have it any other way. They climb. They squeeze. They get into places they absolutely shouldn’t. That’s why our cat collar is designed with a breakaway safety feature, so if it ever gets caught, it releases under pressure to help prevent injury. Designed for Real Cat Behavior

  • Built for climbing, jumping, and exploring
  • Releases if snagged
  • Gives you peace of mind while they do their thing

The Takeaway Made to stay on, until it needs to come off. Because cats don’t follow rules… and their collar shouldn’t hold them back.

How do herbal flea & tick products work?

Nature’s Protection works through a simple, two-step system, support the animal, then protect from the outside. Step 1: Internal Support Daily powders or drops work from within, helping to shift your dog or cat’s natural skin chemistry and scent over time, making them less appealing to fleas, ticks, and biting insects. Formulated with nutrient-rich ingredients like brewer’s yeast, garlic, B vitamins, and targeted herbs, this step builds the foundation. Step 2: External Protection Collars, sprays, spot-ons, and shampoos create a powerful added layer on the coat using essential oils like cedarwood, peppermint, lemongrass, and rosemary, helping to repel pests on contact. Why both steps matter: Internal support builds over time. External protection works immediately. Together, they create a complete, layered system. Backed by decades of veterinary practice: when you support the animal naturally, their body does what it was designed to do.

How do I give the Herbal Drops to my dog or cat?

Simple and easy to work into your routine Ways to Give

  • Add to food
  • Mix into a little water
  • Give directly in the mouth

Whatever works best for your dog or cat For Picky Eaters (We’ve Got You) A little creativity goes a long way:

  • Mix into a favorite treat or topper
  • Add to a splash of bone broth
  • Stir into wet food
  • Drizzle over a small “starter bite” before the full meal

Think small, tasty, and hard to detect. Start Slow.

  • Begin with a smaller amount
  • Build up over a few days
  • Let them adjust so it becomes part of the routine

When to Lean In Herbal Drops are a great add-on:

  • For picky pets who won’t take powders
  • During peak flea & tick pressure
  • When you want an extra layer of internal support

A Quick Note

  • Shake well before use
  • Give twice daily for best results

Mix it. Hide it. Or drop it right in. Whatever works, just stay consistent. Works even better as an add on to our Daily Powders.

How do I know if my cat is sensitive to the Spot-On?

We recommend testing the product initially by applying a few drops on the nape of the neck and waiting 24 hours to check for any possible reaction before applying the full amount.

If you see any adverse reaction (excessive scratching, redness, or discomfort), wash your cat with shampoo using lots of warm water. This isn't common, but it's a good safeguard if it's your first time using any Spot-On product. Contact your veterinarian if symptoms continue.

How do I measure for the right size?

A proper fit keeps your dog or cat comfortable, and the collar working as intended. Measure around the neck where a collar would normally sit. Sizing

  • Cats & Kittens: One size (adjustable, breakaway design)
  • Small Dogs & Puppies: Fits up to 20 inches
  • Medium Dogs: 21–23 inches
  • Large Dogs: 24–29 inches

Fit Tip You should be able to fit two fingers comfortably between the collar and your dog or cat’s neck. Trim any excess length for a secure, comfortable fit

How do I use the Herbal Shampoo?

Bath time, but make it count! How to Use Get your dog fully wet (really wet—this matters) Apply shampoo down the back Work into a rich lather, neck, back, body, legs (avoid eyes, nose, mouth) Let it sit for 10 minutes This is key, give the botanicals time to do their thing! Rinse thoroughly with warm water Repeat if needed Where to Focus Don’t rush past the spots bugs love:

  • Neck
  • Underbelly
  • Legs & paws

Health Tip: The longer it sits (up to 10 minutes), the better it works. This isn’t just a wash, it’s active support.

Lather. Let it sit. Let it work. Rinse and go!

How do the herbal collars work?

Our Herbal Collars are built on a simple idea: protection should never come at the expense of wellbeing.

Instead of harsh pesticides, we use plant-based oils, crafted to support your dog or cat, naturally.

Each collar is infused with a targeted blend of essential oils:

  • Cedarwood
  • Peppermint
  • Lemongrass
  • Rosemary

Chosen for their natural ability to create a scent profile that fleas and ticks tend to avoid.

How it works As your dog wears the collar, these oils are slowly and continuously released, moving across the coat and skin through everyday motion. Just a steady, consistent presence.

Over time, this creates an invisible, aromatic barrier — one that makes your dog or cat less appealing for pests to land, stay, or attach.*

What to expect

  • Begins working within 24 hours as the oils fully disperse
  • Lasts up to 3 months
  • Subtle, natural scent for you, unfavorable to pests
  • Water-resistant (remove before swimming or bathing for best longevity)

Fit + function

  • Choose the right size for your dog (we offer one size for cats)
  • Adjust so you can fit two fingers comfortably between collar and neck
  • Trim any excess for a clean fit

The bigger picture. It's about rethinking protection — creating a daily environment where pests are less likely to show up in the first place.

Protection, without compromise. The way it should be.

*When used as directed.

How long do the herbal collars last?

Our Herbal Flea & Tick Collars for dogs and cats provide continuous support for up to 3 months. When to Replace

  • Replace every 3 months for consistent protection
  • Replace sooner if the herbal scent has noticeably faded
  • Replace after extended water exposure (frequent swimming or bathing)

Maximizing Collar Life

  • Remove before swimming or bathing when possible
  • Store unused collars in their sealed packaging
  • A noticeable herbal scent should always be present, if it fades, it’s time for a new collar

Year-Round Protection Fleas and ticks don’t follow a season anymore. We recommend continuous, year-round use, replacing collars every 3 months. Helpful Tip: Set a reminder, because consistency is what makes this work.

How long does it take to see results?

Results build with consistency, and improve over time. External protection (immediate): Collars, spot-ons, sprays and shampoo begin working as soon as applied, helping to repel pests right away. Internal support (builds over time): Internal powders and drops work from within and require consistent daily use to fully take effect. Most pet parents begin to notice a difference within a few weeks. What matters most: consistency. For best results, internal powders should be given daily, year-round. The longer you stay consistent, the more effective the system becomes. The longer your dog or cat stays on the powders and drops, the more their natural scent shifts, making them increasingly less appealing to fleas, ticks, and biting insects. Why the system works: External products provide immediate support. Internal products build lasting protection. Together, they create a layered approach that strengthens over time. What “working” looks like:

  • Fewer fleas and ticks
  • Pests less likely to stay or bite
  • Less scratching and irritation

Start early, stay consistent, and use year-round—that’s what drives real results.

How long does the collar last?

Our Flea & Tick Herbal Collars for dogs and cats are designed to provide continuous support for up to 3 months. The collar works through a slow, steady release of essential oils, helping maintain a consistent scent profile on your dog or cat. When to Replace:

  • Replace every 3 months for consistent protection
  • Replace sooner if the herbal scent noticeably fades
  • Replace after frequent bathing with shampoo, which can reduce effectiveness
How many drops should I give my pet?

Give twice daily based on your pet's weight: Slowly introduce the drops and build up over a few days.

  • 1-7 lbs: 4 drops
  • 8-15 lbs: 5-8 drops
  • 16-35 lbs: 10-12 drops
  • 36-85 lbs: 15-18 drops
  • 86+ lbs: 20-25 drops

Remember to shake well before each use.

How much Daily Internal Powder should I give my pet?

Give daily based on your dog or cat’s weight. The daily amount can be split between meals.

  • 3–9 lbs: 2 teaspoons
  • 10–20 lbs: 1 tablespoon
  • 21–50 lbs: 1½ tablespoons
  • 51–85 lbs: 2 tablespoons
  • 86+ lbs: 2½ tablespoons

Start Slow. Build Consistency.

  • Introduce gradually over 5–7 days
  • Work up to the full daily amount
  • Stay consistent, this is where the results come from

How It Works With daily use, the formula helps create a natural scent on the skin that fleas and ticks find less appealing, helping keep them away from your dog or cat. Best Results Use daily, year-round. The longer your dog or cat stays on it, the more consistent that scent becomes, while also supporting overall health, skin, coat, and immune function.

For picky eaters, mix with plain organic yogurt or pet-friendly bone broth to help it stick to the food.

How often can I use the Herbal Shampoo?

Use it as part of your regular bathing routine, but don’t overdo it. What We Recommend

  • Bathe as needed, based on your dog’s lifestyle
  • During higher exposure or active issues: up to once per week
  • For maintenance: less frequent is often better

Why Not Too Much? Even a gentle shampoo can dry out the skin if used too often. Clean is good. Overwashing isn’t. If You’re Using Spot-On

  • Wait 24 hours after applying Spot-On before bathing
  • Reapply Spot-On once your dog is fully dry

Use it when you need it. Don’t overdo it. Let the skin stay balanced.

How often do I need to reapply external products?

Flea and Tick Herbal Collar

  • Replace every 3 months
  • Sooner if the scent fades or after repeated bathing

Flea and Tick Spot-On

  • Apply every 3–4 weeks
  • Reapply after bathing with shampoo (soap can wash it away)

Flea and Tick Herbal Bug Spray

  • Use daily before outdoor time
  • Reapply every few hours as needed
  • Reapply after swimming or water exposure

Flea and Tick Herbal Shampoo

  • Use during regular bathing
  • In higher-pressure situations: up to once weekly
  • Designed to clean the coat, refresh the skin, and help reduce what pests leave behind

Over-bathing can dry the skin, stick to a consistent, not excessive, routine Helpful Tip: For higher exposure, layer your protection: Daily internal + collar or spot-on, plus spray for outings

How often should I apply the Spot-On?

Apply every 3–4 weeks for consistent protection. What That Means

  • For most routines, that’s about once a month
  • In higher-pressure environments, stay closer to every 3 weeks

When to Reapply Sooner

  • After bathing with shampoo (can reduce effectiveness)
  • During peak flea & tick exposure
  • If you feel protection may be wearing off (The box contains a three applications per box)
How often should I reapply the Bug Spray?

  • During longer outings, refresh every few hours
  • After swimming or getting wet

How it fits in: Bug Spray isn’t your base layer; that’s your collar or spot-on. Bug Spray is your extra layer for hikes, walks, backyard time… all the moments bugs show up. It's a temporary topical designed to be an additional layer of protection.

Is garlic safe for dogs and cats?

Short answer: yes, when used correctly. Garlic gets a bad reputation because large amounts can be harmful. But the key is dose and that’s where everything changes. What’s Important to Understand Garlic is only associated with toxicity at very high amounts, far beyond what’s used in our veterinary formulated products.

  • Toxicity is reported at roughly 15–30 grams per kilogram of body weight
  • The amount used in our formulas is a small, controlled inclusion—well below levels of concern

Like many things, the dose makes the difference Why We Use It Garlic has been used for generations as part of traditional, whole-food and herbal approaches. In small amounts, it may help:

  • Support a healthy internal environment
  • Contribute to skin and coat health
  • Help create a subtle scent profile on the skin that pests tend to avoid

Dr. Bob’s Perspective Dr. Bob Goldstein has used garlic thoughtfully in his holistic veterinary approach for decades. The focus has always been the same: Use the right ingredient, at the right amount, for the right reason. That’s why our formulas are carefully balanced and veterinary formulated.

Garlic isn’t the problem, improper dosing is. In the right amount, it supports, strengthens, and helps protect, naturally. It’s not about avoiding ingredients, it’s about using them the right way.

Is the Herbal Shampoo safe for puppies?

Yes, our Herbal Shampoo is safe for puppies 16 weeks (4 months) and older. At this stage, their skin and systems are more developed, making it the right time to introduce products like this into their routine. A Thoughtful Start Puppies are still growing, so how you use it matters.

  • Start gently, no need to overdo it
  • Keep bath time calm and positive
  • Focus on a thorough, not frequent routine

Why This Matters Even though the formula is gentle and made without harsh pesticides, young skin is more sensitive. Clean is good. Overwashing isn’t. Let the skin stay balanced while still giving them the support they need.

Is this collar safe for kittens?

Yes, our Herbal Collar for Cats & Kittens can be used on kittens 16 weeks (4 months) and older. Start Gently If it’s your kitten’s first collar, introduce it slowly.

  • Let them get used to it in short periods at first
  • Gradually increase wear time over a few days
  • Pair with something positive, like mealtime or play

Fit Matters Kittens grow quickly, so check the fit often.

  • Allow two fingers of space between the collar and neck
  • Adjust as they grow
  • Trim excess length for comfort and safety

Designed for Cats This collar is made specifically for cats and kittens, with:

  • A cat-appropriate formulation
  • A breakaway safety feature for everyday exploring
Is this collar waterproof?

Life happens, rain, puddles, messy adventures. Your dog (or cat) doesn’t have to sit those out. The collar can handle everyday water exposure like rain and splashing just fine. Good to Know

  • Okay for rain, puddles, and everyday play
  • Not meant for long swims or soaking
  • If it gets wet, just let it air dry and keep going
Is this safe for cats?

We love cats just as much, and they play by their own rules. That’s why we made a collar just for them. What works for dogs isn’t always right for cats. Cats can process essential oils differently. The Right Choice for Cats We created a cat-specific Herbal Collar that’s designed with them in mind:

  • Breakaway safety feature (because cats climb, jump, and explore everything)
  • Cat-appropriate formulation
  • Sized and built for smaller, more agile bodies
Is this Spot-On safe for kittens?

The Herbal Spot-On for Cats is safe for cats and kittens 16 weeks (4 months) of age and older. For younger kittens, consult your veterinarian for appropriate flea and tick protection options.

My dog or cat already has fleas. Will Nature's Protection get rid of them?

Nature's Protection is designed for prevention, not treatment of active infestations. You have to treat more than just your dog or cat. Fleas live on the body and in your home. If you don’t address both, they keep coming back. Where to Start For active fleas, reach for our Herbal Topical Powder. It’s made with ingredients like limestone and botanicals that help:

  • Dry out and disrupt fleas on contact
  • Support relief on the coat and skin
  • Work anywhere fleas are living, bedding, floors, not just on your dog or cat

How to Use It (Body + Home) On your dog or cat:

  • Work into the coat, especially belly, legs, base of tail, and neck, these are the spots fleas hide and feed

In your home:

  • Lightly apply to bedding, carpets, rugs, and resting areas
  • Focus on places your dog or cat spends the most time, Fleas don’t just live on your animal, this is how you break the cycle

Add a Reset

  • For dogs, use our Herbal Shampoo to wash away fleas and debris (leave on for 5-10 minutes — use a flea comb)
  • Use a flea comb to remove what’s left behind

Then Stay on It Once you’ve cleaned things up, shift to the full 2-step routine:

  • Daily Internal Powder and Drops-every day
  • Use our Collar or Spot-On
  • Bug Spray for outings

This is how you keep fleas from coming back

My dog seems sensitive to the collar. What should I do?

First, trust what you’re seeing. You know your dog best. If you notice any signs of discomfort, remove the collar right away. What to Look For While uncommon, some dogs may be more sensitive to essential oils. Watch for:

  • Redness or irritation around the neck
  • Excessive scratching or rubbing
  • Unusual behavior or discomfort

What to Do Next

  • Remove the collar and allow the skin to return to normal
  • Offer fresh water and monitor your dog
  • If symptoms persist, always contact your veterinarian

My pet has a yeast sensitivity. Can they still use this?

If your pet is sensitive to yeast, we recommend our Daily Herbal Internal Powder (Yeast-Free) or Daily Herbal Drops instead. These are yeast-free alternatives that work the same way, changing the scent of the skin to help deter biting insects.

Should I use this year-round or just during flea season?

Yes. And we strongly recommend it! This isn’t just seasonal, it’s daily support that builds over time. Why It Matters Fleas and ticks don’t follow a calendar anymore. Warmer winters. Longer seasons. More exposure. Waiting until you see them? You’re already behind. Build It Before You Need It Our Daily Internal Powder works by building a consistent scent on the skin over time, helping make your dog or cat less appealing to pests.

  • Takes 2–4 weeks to build
  • Gets stronger with consistent daily use
  • Works best when it’s part of a routine, not a reaction

During Peak Season

  • You can gradually increase (up to double) the daily amount for added support during peak season
  • Stay consistent, this is when it matters most

And Beyond Protection… You’re not just supporting pest defense. You’re giving your dog or cat a daily boost of nutrient-rich ingredients that support overall health, skin, coat, and immune function. Think of it as a daily, foundational supplement, not just a seasonal add-on

Use it every day. All year. No gaps.

The Spot-On left my dog's fur oily. Is that normal?

That's part of how it works. Our Herbal Spot-On is designed to move across the skin and coat, and it needs a natural carrier to do that well.

Why you're seeing it. We use almond oil as the base, because it helps carry the plant-based oils where they need to go.

Right after application, you may notice:

  • A bit of oiliness at the application site
  • A slightly glossy coat

This is temporary. As the oils disperse, it typically absorbs within 24–48 hours.

What's happening underneath. That light layer isn't residue — it's function. It helps create a consistent, plant-based scent across your dog's coat, making them less appealing to pests over time.*

How to keep it minimal

  • Apply directly to the skin (part the fur fully)
  • Use the correct size dose for your dog
  • Apply in the evening and let it settle overnight
  • Avoid touching the area until absorbed

If you prefer a lighter feel. Every dog, and every home, is different. You can use our Herbal Collars instead:

  • Herbal Collars are easy to use and let the plant-based oils work hands-free, with long-lasting wear
  • Herbal Bug Spray is water-based and won't leave residue (just requires more frequent use)

*When used as directed.

What does the powder taste like? Will my pet eat it?

Good news, most dogs and cats think it tastes pretty great! It’s made with dried chicken liver and brewer’s yeast, giving it a naturally savory, umami-rich flavor they’re drawn to. The Trick: Don’t Rush It Even with great taste, the key is introducing it slowly.

  • Start with a small pinch mixed into food
  • Gradually increase over 5–7 days
  • Let them adjust so they barely notice it’s there

Make It Irresistible If you’ve got a picky eater, here are a few easy wins:

  • Mix with a spoonful of plain organic yogurt
  • Add a splash of pet friendly warm bone broth
  • Stir into wet food or a favorite topper
  • Lightly moisten dry food so it sticks and blends in

Think of it as coating the food, not sitting on top of it A Little Strategy Goes a Long Way Most dogs and cats accept it quickly when introduced the right way. Take it slow, make it tasty, and within days it becomes just part of the routine.

Start small. Mix it well. Make it delicious. Because once it’s part of the bowl… it’s part of the routine.

What if I still see fleas or ticks on my pet?

Don't panic, an occasional flea or tick doesn’t mean the system isn’t working. Natural protection works differently. Instead of killing on contact, it helps make your dog or cat less appealing, so pests are less likely to bite, feed, or stay. Especially in high-pressure environments, occasional exposure can happen. What matters is what happens next. Quick check: is your system working as intended? ✓ Using both internal + external every day? This is a two-step system. Internal builds the foundation. External adds the layer. You need both for full protection. ✓ Being consistent? Internal support builds over time. Daily use is what drives results, and the longer you stay consistent, the stronger it works. ✓ Up to date on application? Collars last up to 3 months. Spot-ons and sprays require more frequent use, especially after water exposure or heavy outdoor activity. ✓ Supporting your environment? Wash bedding. Vacuum regularly. In high-pressure areas, your environment matters just as much as your dog or cat. ✓ In peak season? As pest pressure rises in peak season, increase your internal support. Gradually build up to a higher serving of your chosen powder (up to double during peak), and add Herbal Drops to further enhance the scent, helping make your dog or cat even less attractive to pests. Still seeing issues? We’re here to help you get it right. Reach out to our team, we’ll walk you through it. customerservice@earthanimal.com | 855-326-4625

What if my dog has a reaction to the Spot-On?

Occasionally, some dogs may be sensitive to the essential oils. We recommend testing the product initially by applying a few drops on the nape of the neck and waiting 24 hours to check for any reaction before applying the full amount.

If you see any adverse reaction, wash your dog with shampoo using lots of warm water. This isn't common, but it's a good safeguard if it's your first time using any Spot-On product. Contact your veterinarian if symptoms continue.

What if my dog licks the collar or spot-on?

Our collars are made with plant-based ingredients and essential oils, with your dog or cat’s safety in mind. That said, they’re designed to be worn, not chewed or licked. What to Know

  • Occasional licking can happen and is generally not a concern
  • If your dog is chewing or repeatedly licking the collar, it’s best to remove it and adjust fit
  • Some dogs may react to the strong herbal taste with temporary drooling

When to Take Action If licking turns into chewing, or you notice:

  • Excessive drooling
  • Upset stomach
  • Unusual behavior

Remove the collar and give your dog fresh water If symptoms continue, always contact your veterinarian A Better Option for Chewers If your dog tends to chew their collar, we recommend switching to our Herbal Spot-On as your external layer. Multi-Pet Homes After applying Spot-On, give it 15–30 minutes to fully dry before pets interact, so they’re not grooming each other right away. Our Philosophy We formulate to work with your dog or cat, naturally, but every animal is different. If something doesn’t feel right, trust that instinct and pause use.

Made for their body. Meant to stay on it, not be eaten or licked!

What is the two-step protection system?

Nature’s Protection is designed as a comprehensive, two-step system, support the animal nutritionally from within, and protect from the outside. Step 1: Internal Support (Daily Foundation) Feed daily with meals to build protection from the inside out. Choose one of our powders as your daily foundation:

  • Daily Internal Powder – A blend of brewer’s yeast, vitamins, and minerals that helps shift skin chemistry over time
  • Daily Herbal Internal Powder (Yeast-Free Alternative) – A veterinary blend of herbs for dogs and cats who prefer or require a yeast-free option

Add Daily Herbal Drops:

  • Daily Herbal Drops, A highly absorbable herbal tincture used to enhance the effectiveness of the powders, or for dogs and cats who won’t eat powders

Step 2: External Protection (Added Layer) Add external protection to complement internal support and create a powerful barrier on the skin and coat that helps repel pests on contact.

  • Herbal Collars – Continuous support for up to 3 months using essential oils
  • Herbal Spot-On – If not using the collar, use as an easy topical application for ongoing protection
  • Herbal Bug Spray – Immediate, on-the-go protection
  • Herbal Shampoo – Cleanses while supporting protection during bath time

Best results: Use one internal powder daily as your foundation. Add drops when needed for an extra layer of internal support. Add external protection consistently to complete the system. Not sure where to start? Try our Ritual Builder or reach out to us.

What Nature's Protection products do I need for my cat?

Cats are naturally more selective, so a simple, consistent approach works best. Internal (choose one daily):

  • Daily Internal Powder or Daily Herbal Internal Powder – Mix into food (preferably wet food); well-accepted by most cats when introduced gradually
  • Daily Herbal Drops – A liquid option that can be added to food or water; ideal for cats who won’t eat powders

External (add for complete protection): Choose one for extra protection:

Important for cats:

  • Herbal Bug Spray is for dogs only, do not use on cats
  • Always choose cat-specific products, as cats process essential oils differently

Our recommendation for most cats: Daily Internal Powder + Herbal Collar = simple, effective protection A note on feeding: Cats can be finicky. Start with a very small amount of powder and mix thoroughly into food, gradually increasing over several days for best acceptance. Even indoor cats benefit, pests can easily be brought in on shoes, clothing, or other animals.

What Nature's Protection products do I need for my dog?

Start simple. Think inside + outside. That’s it. Protection works best when you support your dog from within and on the surface, because fleas and ticks don’t rely on just one pathway, and neither should we. Step 1: Choose ONE daily internal This is your foundation. It works over time, supporting your dog or cat from the inside out.

  • Daily Internal Powder — simple, effective, everyday support
  • Daily Herbal Internal Powder (yeast-free, plant-based alternative)
  • Herbal Drops — easy-to-use liquid for picky eaters

Pick one. Use it daily. Stay consistent. Step 2: Add ONE external This is your immediate, on-the-surface layer, working in real time. (Choose between Collar or Spot-On)

  • Herbal Collar — effortless, long-lasting (3 months)
  • Herbal Spot-On — monthly, no collar needed
  • Herbal Bug Spray — before hikes, walks, outdoor time
  • Herbal Shampoo — added support during bath time

Pick what fits your lifestyle. If you want the simplest place to start: Choose our Daily Internal Powder + Herbal Collar Two steps. One daily ritual. A quick note on sizing (for collars & spot-ons):

  • Small: up to 20 lbs
  • Medium: 21–50 lbs
  • Large: 51+ lbs

Because better protection isn’t about more products. It’s about the right ones, working together.

What size does the cat collar fit?

The Herbal Collar for Cats & Kittens fits necks up to 13 inches. One size fits most cats and kittens. When fitting, you should be able to place two fingers between the collar and your cat's neck. Trim any excess length after fitting.

What's the difference between the Daily Internal Powder & Herbal Internal Powder?

Both formulas are designed to work from the inside out, helping create a scent on the skin that fleas & ticks find less appealing. They work the same way. The difference is in the ingredients, and who they’re best for. Daily Internal Powder (Original)

  • Key ingredients: Brewer’s yeast, B vitamins, minerals, garlic, whole-food nutrients
  • Best for: Dogs and cats who tolerate yeast
  • Added benefit: Nutritional support from naturally occurring B vitamins and minerals

This is our foundational formula, supporting both internal wellness and a less appealing scent to pests. Daily Internal Powder - Yeast-Free (Herbal Blend)

  • Key ingredients: Proprietary herbal blend (no brewer’s yeast)
  • Best for: Dogs and Cats with yeast sensitivities
  • Added benefit: Plant-based alternative for internal support

Key Difference:

  • Same purpose: support from the inside out
  • Different approach:

– One uses nutrient-rich brewer’s yeast, garlic + vitamins and minerals – One uses a targeted herbal blend of garlic and herbs For Dogs vs. Cats

  • Dogs: Can use either formula depending on tolerance
  • Cats: Typically do better with the Daily Internal Powder (Original) due to taste preference

Which Should I Choose?

  • Choose Daily Internal Powder if your dog or cat tolerates yeast and you want added nutritional support
  • Choose Yeast-Free Powder if your dog is sensitive to yeast or you prefer an herbal-only approach

Can I Use Both? Yes, but keep it simple. If using both, split the serving (about 50/50) rather than giving full amounts of each. Most dogs and cats do very well on just one, but combining can be helpful in higher-pressure environments.

Same goal. Different path. Choose what works best for your dog or cat.

When should I start using flea & tick protection?

Why Starting Early Matters Our internal powders are designed to build over time. The longer your dog or cat is on them, the more consistent the scent becomes—helping make them less appealing to pests, day after day. But that’s only part of the story. These formulas are packed with nutrient-dense ingredients that support overall health, skin, coat, and immune function. Think of it as daily protection + daily nutrition in one simple step. A Daily Ritual, This isn’t a quick fix. It’s a routine that works with your dog or cat over time.

  • If you are new to our program; Start 4-6 weeks before peak flea and tick season
  • Stay consistent for best results
  • Prevention is always easier than dealing with an infestation

Year-Round vs. Seasonal Use Warmer climates: Fleas and ticks don’t take a break. Use year-round. Seasonal climates: Start early in spring, and once they are on it — stay on it for optimal prevention. Seasons are longer than they used to be. For Puppies & Kittens Safe to start at 16 weeks and older, gradually introduce and build up to dosage, once fully weaned and eating solid food.

The longer you use it, the better it works. And along the way, you’re supporting something bigger: A healthier, stronger dog or cat, every single day. General guidelines: Year-round areas (Southern US, coastal regions): Use protection continuously, fleas and ticks are active all year.

Seasonal areas (Northern US): Start internal products 2-4 weeks before flea and tick season typically begins in your area (often early spring). Add external products as temperatures warm.

Local tip: Check with your veterinarian or local extension office for peak flea and tick season in your specific area. Climate change has extended the season in many regions. For new puppies and kittens: You can start Nature's Protection at 16 weeks or older, as soon as they're weaned and eating solid food. Early protection builds good habits and keeps them comfortable from the start.

  • Medium Dogs: For medium-sized dogs
  • Large Dogs: For larger breeds

All sizes contain 3 applications per box.

Why are some products not safe for cats? Are essential oils dangerous for cats?

It’s not about “good” or “bad.” It’s about how cats are built. Cats process certain compounds differently than dogs. It’s not a sensitivity, it’s biology. The difference is in the liver Cats lack a key enzyme (glucuronyl transferase) that helps break down certain compounds—including some found in essential oils. What a dog can process and eliminate efficiently, a cat may accumulate over time. That’s why formulation, and concentration, matter so much. What this means for our products We don’t take a one-size-fits-all approach. Every formula is designed with the animal in mind. Formulated for cats:

  • Herbal Collar for Cats & Kittens
  • Herbal Spot-On for Cats
  • Daily Internal Powder or Daily Herbal Internal Powder (Yeast Free) (no essential oils)
  • Daily Herbal Drops (no essential oils)

Not for cats:

  • Herbal Bug Spray (essential oil levels designed for dogs/people)
  • Herbal Shampoo (formulated for dogs)
  • Dog collars and spot-ons (different concentrations and sizing)

Our approach We use essential oils with purpose, and with care. When formulated correctly and used appropriately, they can be a powerful part of a plant-based approach. But with cats, precision matters more. So we formulate specifically for them. When in doubt. Check the label. Or ask us.

Why choose natural flea & tick protection over chemical pesticides?

Because protection shouldn’t come at the expense of your animal’s health. Conventional flea and tick products rely on pesticides that circulate through your dog or cat’s body. Nature’s Protection takes a different approach: support the animal, not fight against it. Why pet parents make the switch:

  • No harsh pesticides or neurotoxins
  • Works with your dog or cat’s body, not against it
  • Beneficial for daily, long-term use as part of a consistent routine

Better for your home:

  • No heavy chemical residues on hands, bedding, or furniture
  • Clean, thoughtfully selected ingredients with a naturally fresh scent

Built on trust:

  • Developed by veterinarian Dr. Bob Goldstein
  • Made with carefully selected ingredients
  • Backed by decades of real-world use

What to understand: This is a daily system, not a one-time treatment. Used consistently, it works by making your dog or cat less appealing to pests over time, without harm or compromising their wellbeing.

Why do I need to give the drops twice daily?

The twice-daily dosing helps maintain consistent levels of the herbal compounds in your dog or cat's system throughout the day. The drops are highly absorbable, so splitting the dose between morning and evening provides more even, continuous support for your their natural defenses and protection.

Will the Herbal shampoo help if my dog already has fleas?

Yes, it can help. But it’s not the whole solution. Think of the shampoo as your first step to clean things up, not the final step. What It Does

  • Helps wash away fleas, dirt, and debris
  • Supports the coat and skin during bath time
  • Gives you a fresh starting point

Let it sit for the full 10 minutes, that part matters What to Do Next (This Is Key) Fleas don’t live in just one place, and they don’t go away with one bath. For best results, use the full system:

  • Daily Internal Powder and Herbal Drops (build from the inside out)
  • Collar or Spot-On (ongoing external support)
  • Herbal Bug Spray (extra layer for outings)

This is how you can hopefully break the cycle, not just chase it For Active Situations

  • Use a flea comb after bathing
  • Wash bedding and clean your home environment
  • For heavier infestations, consider adding our Herbal Topical Powder for targeted support for the animal and the home.

When to Get Help If things feel out of control, don’t wait, check in with your veterinarian.

Clean them. Support them. Stay on it. One bath won’t fix it. A routine will.

Apothecary

Are the Apothecary products organic?

Not certified. But deeply considered. We use high-quality, thoughtfully sourced herbs, but our Apothecary line is not certified organic. And that’s a conscious choice, not a shortcut. Why not certified organic? Certification is a strict, all-or-nothing system. It requires:

  • Every single ingredient to be certified organic
  • Processing in certified organic facilities
  • Extensive documentation, audits, and oversight

It’s a meaningful standard, but it doesn’t always reflect the best or most responsible sourcing in every case. What we prioritize instead Quality of the plant, first and always Many of our herbs are wildcrafted, sustainably harvested from their natural environments, where they grow as they’re meant to. Sourcing with intention We work with trusted partners who meet our standards for purity, handling, and integrity. Formulation that serves a purpose Every product is thoughtfully crafted, guided by Dr. Bob Goldstein and rooted in traditional herbal practices. Standards you can trust Where applicable, our products are NASC certified, meeting rigorous quality and labeling guidelines. Made here, not outsourced Created and produced in the USA, with full visibility into how they’re made. Our philosophy We believe integrity isn’t a label. It’s a series of choices, about sourcing, formulation, and transparency. Organic certification is one path. We’ve chosen to follow the plant, where it grows best, and how it’s meant to be used. Because better herbal care isn’t just about a checkbox for us.

Are these supplements safe for cats?

In many cases, yes. Most of our Apothecary formulas are designed to support both dogs and cats, with dosing adjusted by weight. What Works for Cats

  • Our herbal drops (tinctures) are commonly used for cats
  • Select powders like Healthy Digestion can also be used

Same formula. Smaller amounts for cats. A Cat-Friendly Approach Cats like things on their terms.

  • Start with a small amount and build slowly
  • Mix into wet food or something they love
  • Keep it simple, and consistent

Pay Attention Every cat is different. If something feels off, pause and adjust. When to Check First If your cat has a health condition or is on medication, it’s always best to check with your veterinarian before starting something new.

Made for cats, too—just scaled and introduced thoughtfully

Can Clean Mouth, Gums, & Breath replace dental cleanings?

With oral health, consistency matters. The goal is to support the mouth daily, not wait until there’s a problem. Clean Mouth, Gums & Breath is powerful support, but it does not replace professional dental cleanings when they’re needed. How to use it:

  • Use daily as part of your dog or cat's daily routine
  • Add to water , food or apply directly into the mouth (slowly introduce and measure the drops given by weight)
  • Stay consistent for best results

This helps create a healthier oral environment over time. When your pet may benefit:

  • Bad breath
  • Plaque buildup
  • Sensitive or irritated gums
  • As daily support between dental cleanings

Why it works: A blend of botanicals chosen to gently cleanse, soothe, and support the mouth: Peppermint & Parsley – help freshen breath naturally Goldenseal & Myrrh – traditionally used to support gum health and a clean oral environment Echinacea – supports overall oral tissue health Aloe & soothing herbs – help calm and comfort sensitive gums Together, they help keep the mouth cleaner, calmer, and more balanced, every day.

Some dogs and cats will still need professional dental care, especially with heavy buildup or advanced issues. Your veterinarian can help guide what’s right for your animal.

Can I give more than one liquid herbal drops at the same time?

Yes, you can. Just take a thoughtful, steady approach. How to Do It Right

  • Start with one product first
  • Give it about 1–2 weeks
  • Then add another if needed

This way you know what’s working, and what your dog or cat responds to Keep It Simple. More isn’t always better. Choose what your dog or cat truly needs, and stay consistent. Good Combinations Some products work well together when used intentionally, especially when supporting more than one area. What to Watch

  • Stick to the recommended amount for each product
  • Pay attention to how your dog or cat responds
  • If something feels off, pause and adjust

When to Check First If your dog or cat is on medication or has a health condition, it’s best to check with your veterinarian before combining products.

Start simple. Add thoughtfully. Stay consistent.

Browse all Herbal Drops.

Can I give supplements to my pet if they're on medication?

If your dog or cat is on medication, it’s always best to talk with your veterinarian before adding anything new. Herbs and supplements can be incredibly supportive, but they can also interact with certain medications, depending on what your animal is taking. A Simple Approach

  • Start with a conversation with your veterinarian
  • Share the product or ingredients you’re considering
  • Take it slow and introduce one thing at a time

Why It Matters We believe in supporting the body naturally, but it has to be done thoughtfully and safely, especially when medications are involved.

Can I put Clean Eyes directly in my pet's eye?

Clean Eyes is a gentle, effective way to care for the delicate area around the eyes, helping keep it clean, calm, and comfortable. But it should not be added directly into the eye. How to use Clean Eyes: Shake well Saturate a cotton ball Gently wipe away debris from around the eye Pat the area clean Use daily as needed What it’s for:

  • Cleansing and removing discharge around the eyes
  • Helping reduce tear staining
  • Soothing delicate skin
  • Supporting a clean, balanced eye area with botanicals like lavender, eyebright, and aloe

What it’s NOT for:

  • Treating eye infections or injuries
  • Flushing the eye itself
  • Moderate to severe eye issues

When to see your veterinarian:

  • Redness in the eye itself
  • Cloudiness or color changes
  • Squinting or pawing
  • Yellow or green discharge
  • Any injury to the eye

Key ingredients: Lavender hydrosol, eyebright infusion, aloe vera, grapefruit seed extract

Can I use Calmness for situational anxiety (thunderstorms, travel)?

Yes, and it’s more than just for the moment. Calmness is designed to support both situational stress and ongoing nervous system balance. For Those Big Moments Perfect for:

  • Thunderstorms & fireworks
  • Travel & car rides
  • Vet visits & grooming
  • Guests, celebrations, or changes in routine
  • Start a few days before if possible for best results and give 30–60 minutes before
  • Repeat if needed for longer events

For Ongoing Stress or Anxiety This is where Calmness really shines. With consistent daily use, it helps support a more relaxed, balanced nervous system over time. Not just reacting to stress, helping your dog or cat handle it better overall

  • Use daily or regularly
  • Stay consistent, this is where you’ll see the shift

How to Think About It Before the moment = support the event Every day = support the system When to Get Extra Support: If your dog or cat is experiencing more intense anxiety, it’s always best to work with your veterinarian.

Use it when you need it. Stay on it for lasting calm.

Can I use Clean Ears to treat an ear infection?

Clean Ears is not a treatment for active ear infections, but it is a powerful way to support ear health and comfort. If there are signs of an infection, it’s important to see your veterinarian for proper diagnosis and care. Where Clean Ears shines is in daily care, early support, and ongoing maintenance. Why pet parents love Clean Ears: It’s made with a thoughtful blend of botanicals chosen to gently cleanse, soothe, and support the ear environment: Calendula & Chamomile – calm irritated skin and help ease discomfort Aloe Vera – hydrates and supports delicate ear tissue Witch Hazel – gently cleanses and helps remove buildup Mullein Oil & St. John’s Wort – traditionally used to comfort sensitive ears Grapefruit Seed Extract – helps keep the ear environment balanced Garlic infused in Olive Oil – supports overall ear wellness Together, these ingredients help create a cleaner, ear environment, one that’s less inviting to buildup and imbalance.

What Clean Ears does NOT do:

  • Treat active bacterial or yeast infections
  • Replace veterinary diagnosis and treatment
  • Address underlying causes of chronic ear problems

Best used for: Regular ear maintenance After swimming or bathing During allergy season Supporting ears after veterinary care When to see your veterinarian: If you notice redness, odor, discharge, swelling, head shaking, or sensitivity—those are signs your pet needs medical attention.

  • Red, inflamed ears
  • Strong odor
  • Discharge (yellow, brown, or bloody)
  • Head shaking or scratching
  • Pain when ears are touched

Best use:

  • Regular maintenance: 1-2 times weekly
  • After swimming or bathing
  • During allergy season when ears may be more prone to issues
  • After veterinary treatment, as ongoing prevention

Key ingredients: Calendula, chamomile, witch hazel, aloe vera, grapefruit seed extract, mullein oil, St. John's wort, garlic in olive oil.

Can I use Urinary & Kidney Relief for a urinary tract infection?

No. If you suspect a urinary infection, see your veterinarian first. Urinary issues in both dogs and cats require proper diagnosis, and in many cases, medical treatment. This formula is designed for support, not treatment. Where Urinary & Kidney Drops shine: They’re built to support and maintain a healthy urinary environment, for both dogs and cats, especially those prone to sensitivity in this area. Best for:

  • Dogs and cats needing everyday kidney and bladder support
  • Pets prone to urinary imbalance or sensitivity
  • Cats with a history of crystals (as ongoing support)
  • Senior pets needing kidney/bladder support
  • Daily support after veterinary care

Why it works: A blend of traditional herbs chosen to soothe, support, and help maintain balance: Marshmallow Root – helps coat and soothe the urinary tract Cornsilk – supports comfort and normal urinary flow Uva Ursi – helps maintain a healthy urinary environment and pH balance Gravel Root – traditionally used to support kidney and bladder function Together, they help keep the urinary system calm, supported, and functioning as it should. A deeper note for cats (and why this matters): Cats are especially prone to urinary challenges, stress, hydration, and diet all play a role. Supporting the system consistently is key to helping maintain balance over time. Dogs benefit too, but cats often need a more proactive approach. A thoughtful note: Because this is a potent herbal blend, it’s important to check with your veterinarian, especially for pets with a history of urinary blockages, kidney concerns, or ongoing conditions. Signs your pet needs a vet (don’t wait):

  • Straining or frequent attempts to urinate
  • Blood in urine
  • Accidents or urinating outside the litter box
  • Crying or discomfort
  • Little to no urine produced
Can Vital Eye Herbal Drops help with cataracts or vision loss?

Vital Eye is designed to support normal visual function and long-term eye health, but it does not reverse cataracts or cure eye disease. And importantly: this is an oral formula. Do not put it directly into the eye. What it supports:

  • Overall eye health and visual function
  • Antioxidant support for aging eyes
  • Occasional eye sensitivity or environmental stress
  • Long-term support for maintaining healthy vision

Why it works: A blend of botanicals chosen to nourish and protect from within: Lycium Berry (Goji) – rich in antioxidants that help support retinal health Bilberry & Ginkgo – support circulation and antioxidant protection for the eyes Eyebright – traditionally used to support overall ocular health Together, they help protect, nourish, and support the eyes over time. What it does NOT do:

  • Reverse cataracts or lens opacity
  • Restore lost vision
  • Treat glaucoma, infections, or eye injuries
  • Address conditions like conjunctivitis (pink eye)

When to see your veterinarian: Eye issues can progress quickly, don’t wait if you notice:

  • Redness or inflammation (including conjunctivitis)
  • Cloudiness or changes in the eye
  • Discharge (yellow, green, or excessive tearing)
  • Squinting, pawing, or signs of discomfort
  • Any sudden vision changes

Best for:

  • Daily eye health support
  • Senior pets
  • Pets needing extra antioxidant support for the eyes
  • Long-term maintenance, not acute conditions

If your dog or cat has any diagnosed eye condition or is experiencing changes in vision, your veterinarian (or a veterinary ophthalmologist) should guide care.

Do these supplements have calories? Will they affect my pet's weight?

Yes, but very minimal. What That Means

  • Drops: given in small amounts, calories are negligible
  • Powders: small daily servings, not enough to impact weight

For Most Dogs & Cats You don’t need to worry, our supplements and herbal drops won’t meaningfully affect weight when used as directed. If Weight Is a Concern If your dog or cat is on a strict plan, just keep everything in balance and check with your veterinarian if needed

How do I find a holistic veterinarian?

If you're looking for a veterinarian experienced with herbal supplements and integrative care, here are some resources:

Professional directories:

  • AHVMA (American Holistic Veterinary Medical Association): ahvma.org — search their member directory

What to look for:

  • Credentials in integrative, holistic, or complementary veterinary medicine

  • Willingness to work alongside your primary veterinarian

How does No More Worms work? Does it kill worms?

No, this is not a conventional dewormer. It doesn’t work by killing worms directly. What It Does Instead No More Worms is a targeted herbal blend designed to help:

  • Support a clean, balanced intestinal environment
  • Make the gut less inviting to parasites
  • Work with the body’s natural defenses

Why We Formulated It This Way We use herbs like black walnut, wormwood, and cloves, herbs that have been used traditionally to support intestinal health and help the body maintain its own defenses. When to Use It

  • As ongoing support
  • During times of higher exposure
  • After a deworming protocol to help maintain balance

If Your Dog or Cat Has Worms If there’s an active infestation, it’s important to work with your veterinarian on appropriate treatment first. No More Worms can then be used as support moving forward.

Build a gut that worms don’t want to live in.

How does Stop Eating Stool work?

Stop Eating Stool tackles the problem from a few angles, because this habit isn’t just one thing. What It Does

  • Makes stool less appealing to eat
  • Supports better digestion, so less passes through unused
  • Helps fill in nutritional gaps that may drive the behavior

In short: less interest, better balance What’s Inside (And Why It Matters)

  • Digestive enzymes, help break down food so more nutrients are absorbed
  • Brewer’s yeast, supports a healthy GI environment
  • Kelp + minerals, help address potential deficiencies
  • Yucca, supports digestion and helps reduce odor

For Best Results

  • Give it daily and stay consistent
  • If you have multiple pets, give it to all of them
  • Be patient, it takes time to break the cycle

A Simple Way to Think About It Change the stool. Support the gut. Shift the behavior.

If this behavior is new or sudden, it’s always a good idea to check with your veterinarian.

How long does it take for supplements to work?

They don’t work overnight, and that’s the point. Our supplements are designed to support the body over time What to Expect

  • You may notice small changes within a few days
  • Most benefits build over 2–4 weeks of daily use
  • Continued use helps maintain balance long-term

Why It Takes Time: We’re not forcing a quick fix. We’re helping your dog or cat build from the inside out, supporting digestion, skin, immune function, and overall wellbeing in a way that lasts. For Best Results

  • Use daily, consistency is everything
  • Stick with it, don’t skip around
  • Give it time to do what it’s designed to do

A Simple Way to Think About It: You’re not flipping a switch, you’re building a foundation.

Stay consistent. Give it time. That’s when you’ll see the difference.

How long have these formulas been around?

Our Apothecary formulas have over 30 years of heritage.

Earth Animal was founded in 1979 by Dr. Bob and Susan Goldstein. Dr. Bob, an integrative veterinarian, began developing herbal formulas in his practice decades ago. Long before "holistic/integrative pet care" was mainstream.

The Apothecary story:

  • Our Supplement Formulas developed through decades of clinical veterinary practice
  • Crafted by a master herbalist in the Green Mountains of Vermont
  • Refined over 30+ years based on real-world results
  • Rooted in traditional herbalism, backed by modern understanding

These aren't new-to-market formulas chasing trends. They're time-tested blends that have helped countless dogs and cats over three decades. That's why we say we're "Rooted in Nature, Backed by Science".

How quickly does No More Runs work?

No More Runs is designed to gently settle the gut and support stool consistency, fast. Many pet parents see improvement within 24–48 hours, especially for occasional digestive upset. How it works: Think of it as a natural way to coat and calm the digestive tract. Slippery Elm – rich in soothing mucilage that coats the gut lining, helping calm irritation and support firmer stools Chamomile – helps relax the digestive system and ease discomfort Bilberry & White Oak Bark – traditionally used to support normal stool and digestive balance Together, they help soothe, protect, and bring the gut back into balance. For occasional upset:

  • Give twice daily at the recommended dose
  • Many pets improve within a day or two
  • Continue until stool normalizes, then taper off

For sensitive stomachs:

  • Use daily or every other day
  • Helps maintain long-term gut comfort and consistency

A thoughtful note: If your dog or cat has underlying health conditions or is on medication, check with your veterinarian before use. When to see your veterinarian:

  • Diarrhea lasting more than 48 hours
  • Blood in stool
  • Vomiting or lethargy
  • Loss of appetite or signs of dehydration
Is Cough, Wheeze, & Sneeze safe for pets with respiratory conditions?

Cough, Wheeze & Sneeze is designed to gently support everyday respiratory health, helping keep airways clear, calm, and functioning well. If your animal has a diagnosed or ongoing respiratory condition, it’s always best to check with your veterinarian first to make sure it’s the right fit. What it supports:

  • Healthy lung and airway function
  • A balanced inflammatory response in the nose, sinuses, and lungs
  • Clearer, more comfortable breathing
  • Overall respiratory wellness

Why it works: A blend of traditional herbs chosen to soothe and support the respiratory system: Mullein & Coltsfoot – help calm and support the lungs and airways Elecampane & Osha – traditionally used to support clear breathing Thyme – helps maintain a clean, balanced respiratory environment Together, these botanicals help the body breathe a little easier—naturally. A thoughtful note: Because this is a potent herbal blend, it may not be appropriate for every pet, especially those with more complex respiratory or health conditions, or those on certain medications. Your veterinarian can help guide what’s best. When to see your veterinarian:

  • Persistent coughing or wheezing
  • Labored or rapid breathing
  • Nasal discharge
  • Blue or pale gums
  • Any symptoms that worsen or don’t improve
Is the Skin Herbal Relief Ointment safe if my pet licks it?

Skin Herbal Relief Ointment is crafted with gentle, plant-based ingredients designed to soothe and support the skin. A little licking happens, and small amounts are generally okay. But like any topical, it’s best to let it absorb so it can do its job. Why it works (and why it’s so soothing): A thoughtful blend of botanicals chosen to calm, comfort, and protect: Plantain & Chickweed , help quiet irritation and support skin recovery Calendula – known for calming and soothing sensitive or stressed skin St. John’s Wort (Hypericum) – traditionally used to comfort and restore Lavender – helps relax and gently support skin balance Olive Oil & Beeswax – deeply moisturize and create a protective barrier Vitamin E – nourishes and supports healthy skin Together, they help soften, soothe, and protect where your dog or cat needs it most. If your dog or cat licks it:

  • Small amounts are unlikely to cause harm
  • Ingredients are plant-based and thoughtfully selected
  • But larger amounts aren’t ideal, this is meant for the skin, not as a treat

Tips to minimize licking:

  • Apply a thin layer and massage it in well
  • Distract with a treat, walk, or playtime
  • Apply before meals or rest time
  • For paws, apply before bedtime
  • Use a recovery cone if needed

Great for:

  • Hot spots
  • Dry, cracked paws
  • Minor irritations or rashes
  • Bug bites
  • Noses and skin folds

When to see your veterinarian: if irritation worsens, spreads, or doesn’t improve within a few days

My pet had a reaction after starting a supplement. Is this a detox reaction?

Sometimes when you introduce something new, your dog or cat may have a mild adjustment. But here’s the most important thing: If it doesn’t feel right, don’t push through it. What You Might See (Mild + Temporary)

  • Slight changes in stool
  • A little extra itching
  • Small shifts in energy

These can happen as the body adjusts, and usually pass quickly. What to Do

  • Pause or reduce the amount
  • Reintroduce more slowly if needed
  • Give it a few days and see how your dog or cat responds

When It’s NOT Normal Stop use and check with your veterinarian if you see:

  • Vomiting or ongoing diarrhea
  • Lethargy or discomfort
  • Swelling or signs of an allergic reaction

Our Approach We don’t believe in pushing through reactions. Every dog and cat is different, listen to what their body is telling you.

Go slow. Pay attention. Adjust when needed.

What is Aches & Discomfort used for?

Aches & Discomfort is a thoughtfully crafted herbal blend designed to support a healthy inflammatory response and help maintain everyday comfort, especially for dogs or cats who need a little extra ease in their movement. Best for:

  • Pets slowing down with age
  • Stiffness after rest or activity
  • Occasional discomfort from daily movement
  • Active dogs after play or exercise
  • Supporting long-term mobility and comfort

Why it works: A blend of time-honored botanicals chosen to gently support the body: White Willow Bark – traditionally used to ease everyday discomfort Licorice Root – supports a balanced inflammatory response Devil’s Claw, Turmeric & Feverfew – known for supporting mobility and overall comfort Together, these ingredients work with the body to help dogs and cats stay active and at ease.

Because this is a potent herbal blend, it may not be the right fit for every pet. If your dog or cat has underlying health conditions, is on medication (especially pain relievers or anti-inflammatories), or has sensitivities, we recommend checking with your veterinarian before use.

What's the difference between Healthy Digestion and No More Runs?

They’re designed to work together, but they serve very different roles. One builds the gut. One calms the moment.

Healthy Digestion (Powder) Builds the foundation. This is your daily gut support, focused on the microbiome, digestion, and long-term balance.

What it does:

  • Supports a healthy, diverse microbiome
  • Helps improve nutrient absorption
  • Strengthens the gut lining
  • Promotes consistent, healthy stool over time
  • Supports immune health (because the immune system starts in the gut)

Why it works:

Prebiotics – feed beneficial bacteria Probiotics – help populate and balance the microbiome Glutamine & N-acetyl glucosamine – help support and repair the gut lining Think of it as: Building a stronger, more resilient digestive system from the inside out. Best for:

  • Daily use
  • Sensitive stomachs
  • Long-term gut health
  • Preventing recurring issues

No More Runs (Liquid) Handles the symptoms. Fast. This is your go-to for loose stool and sudden digestive upset.

What it does:

  • Helps firm stool quickly
  • Coats and soothes an irritated gut
  • Calms digestive discomfort
  • Supports a return to normal balance

Why it works: Slippery Elm – coats the gut like a natural “barrier,” helping calm irritation Chamomile – relaxes and soothes the digestive system Bilberry & White Oak Bark – help support normal stool consistency Think of it as: A natural way to settle the gut when things go off track. Best for:

  • Diarrhea or loose stool
  • Stress-related digestive upset
  • Diet changes or “something didn’t agree” moments

Can you use both? Yes, and that’s often the best approach.

  • Use Healthy Digestion daily to build and maintain gut health
  • Add No More Runs when needed to calm acute symptoms

Don’t just stop the symptoms. Strengthen the system behind them.

When should I start using Allergy & Skin Herbal Drops?

With allergies, timing matters. The goal is to support the body before it reacts, not after. When to start:

  • Begin about 4 weeks before peak allergy season
  • Continue daily through the season for ongoing support

This gives the herbs time to build and help the body stay more balanced as exposure increases. When your dog or cat needs it the most:

  • Seasonal itching or scratching
  • Licking or chewing at paws
  • Skin sensitivity during certain times of year
  • Reactions to bites or environmental triggers

Why it works: A blend of botanicals chosen to support the skin from within: Burdock Root – supports natural detox pathways Nettles – rich in minerals that help maintain healthy skin Calendula, Red Clover & Echinacea – traditionally used to soothe and support skin balance It’s about helping the body respond better, not just react less.

If your dog or cat has ongoing health concerns, sensitivities, or is on medication, it’s always best to check with your veterinarian before use. Our philosophy: Start early. Stay consistent. Support the system, not just the symptoms.

Shop Allergy & Skin.

When should I use Immune Support?

The immune system isn’t something you wait on, it’s something you support every day, especially when life puts pressure on it. Immune Support is designed for both proactive care and moments when your dog or cat needs extra resilience. When to use it proactively:

  • Seasonal shifts (cold, damp, or high-exposure times)
  • During stress (travel, boarding, new environments)
  • For senior pets or those needing extra support

Because stress, change, and environment can all challenge the immune system. When your dog or cat may benefit from extra support:

  • Low energy or just “not themselves”
  • Occasional sniffles or seasonal challenges
  • Skin or coat that feels out of balance
  • Times of recovery or increased demand on the body

Why it works: A blend of traditional herbs chosen to help the body stay strong, balanced, and responsive: Astragalus & Echinacea – help support a healthy, active immune response Elderberry – rich in antioxidants to help defend against everyday challenges Turmeric – supports a balanced inflammatory response Ashwagandha – helps the body adapt to stress, a key factor in immune health Together, they support the body’s ability to respond, recover, and stay in balance.

Because this is a potent blend, check with your veterinarian if your pet is pregnant, has underlying conditions, or is taking medications.

Why do the liquid herbal drops contain alcohol?

Our Herbal Drops are traditional tinctures, crafted to draw out the full intelligence of each herb — not just a portion of it.

Why we use alcohol and glycerin together:

To extract what matters most. Alcohol is one of the most effective ways to pull a full spectrum of beneficial plant compounds, including those water alone can't reach. Vegetable glycerin is added to help carry those compounds and to make the formula more palatable.

To preserve naturally. The alcohol and glycerin combination protects the integrity of the formula without synthetic preservatives. What goes in stays stable, clean, and true over time.

To deliver efficiently. Tinctures are highly absorbable. They're designed to be recognized and utilized by the body, quickly and effectively.

What about safety? The amount of alcohol used per serving is very small — just a few drops, typically mixed into food or water. At recommended use, it's well within safe levels for dogs and cats.

If you'd like to minimize it further

  • Add drops to warm (not hot) water and let sit briefly
  • Mix into food rather than giving directly

Some of the alcohol will naturally dissipate.

Why this approach? Many alcohol-free formulas rely on synthetic preservatives or sacrifice potency. Our tinctures use alcohol and vegetable glycerin together — a traditional combination that lets us carry forward everything the plants offer, not just what's easy to extract.

Will Healthy Weight make my pet lose weight without diet changes?

Healthy Weight is designed to support metabolism and help the body use nutrients more efficiently, but lasting, meaningful weight change comes from a balanced approach. Think of it as supporting the system, not forcing weight loss. How it helps:

  • Supports a healthy metabolism so the body can better utilize fat for energy
  • L-Carnitine helps transport and burn fat more efficiently
  • Chia seed & rice bran provide fiber to help pets feel satisfied and supported between meals
  • Rich in vitamins and minerals to nourish the body during weight management

This means better energy, better balance—and a body more ready to reach and maintain a healthy weight. What you may notice:

  • Your pet feels more satisfied after meals
  • Steadier energy levels
  • Support for gradual, healthy weight changes over time

For best results: Healthy Weight works best alongside:

  • Thoughtful portion control
  • Daily movement and activity
  • A consistent feeding routine

If your dog or cat has underlying health concerns or is on medication, check with your veterinarian before use.

Does Earth Animal donate to rescues or shelters?

Yes, supporting rescues and shelters is deeply important to us. We receive a high volume of requests, and while we can’t support every organization, we thoughtfully review each one. We focus on opportunities that align with our mission and where we can make a meaningful impact. How we give: When possible, we provide product donations, often short-dated inventory, to help support animals in care. Nothing goes to waste if it can still do good. If you’d like to be considered: Email customerservice@earthanimal.com with the following:

  • Organization name
  • Contact person
  • Shipping address
  • Email and phone number
  • Type of rescue (home-based or facility)
  • Storage capacity (products are shipped in cases or pallets)
  • Types of products, flavors, and sizes needed
  • Dogs, cats, or both
  • Tax-exempt documentation (IRS or state letter)

We’ll review your request and keep your information on file for future opportunities. We’re inspired by the work you do, caring for animals when they need it most. When we’re able to support, we do so with intention.

My promo code isn't working. What's wrong?

Here are the most common reasons promo codes don't work and how to fix them:

Check for typos:

  • Codes are case-sensitive
  • Remove any extra spaces before or after the code
  • Copy/paste directly from the email or social post if possible

Code may have expired:

  • Most promo codes have an expiration date
  • Check the Terms and Conditions link of the promotion

Minimum purchase required:

  • Some codes require a minimum order amount
  • Check if your cart meets the threshold (often calculated after other discounts)

Product exclusions:

  • Certain products (like Subscribe & Save items or bundles) may be excluded or limited to specific Product Lines
  • Check the fine print of the promotion

One-time use:

  • Many codes can only be used once per customer
  • If you've used it before, it won't work again

Code conflicts:

  • Most codes can't be combined with other discounts
  • See our FAQ on combining codes

Still not working? Email customerservice@earthanimal.com with:

  • The code you're trying to use
  • A screenshot of your cart
  • Where you found the code

We'll sort it out!

My tracking hasn't updated in days. Where's my package?

We understand how frustrating this can feel. In many cases, your package is still moving, it just hasn't been scanned along the way. Carriers don't always update tracking at every stop, especially during high volume periods or weather delays. What to expect:

  • Tracking may pause while your package is in transit between facilities
  • It's common for updates to resume within 24–48 hours
  • Many packages still arrive on time, even when tracking appears delayed

Please note: Once your package is in the hands of USPS or UPS, delivery timelines are managed by the carrier and are outside of our control. If it's been less than 3 business days since your last tracking update: Give it a little more time and check back shortly — updates often catch up. If tracking has shown no movement for more than 3 business days: Reach out to us at customerservice@earthanimal.com with your order number. We'll look into it and take care of you. If your order shows "delivered" but isn't there: Check around your home or with neighbors, then contact us — we'll make it right. We stand behind every order. If something goes wrong, we'll work with you to resolve it.

The product I want is out of stock. What are my options?

We're sorry the product you want isn't available right now! Here's what you can do:

Get notified when it's back:• Click "Notify Me" on the product page

  • You'll receive an email as soon as it's restocked

Try an alternative:

  • Different size: The same product may be available in another size
  • Similar product: We may have a comparable option (contact us for recommendations)
  • Different flavor/protein: For treats and food, another recipe might work for your pet
  • Find it nearby: Use our Find a Store tool to locate nearby retailers

Check other retailers:

  • Chewy, Amazon, or local pet stores may have stock we don't

Subscribe & Save reserves your favorites and ships automatically. You'll never miss your dog or cat's must-haves. Questions? Email customerservice@earthanimal.com. We're happy to suggest alternatives or give you a restock timeline if available.

What happens if an item I ordered is on backorder?

If an item you ordered is actually out of stock, we will refund that portion of your order. We do not allow Backorders.

What is Earth Animal doing for sustainability?

We believe how something is made matters just as much as what’s in it. As a Certified B Corporation™, we hold ourselves to a higher standard, considering the impact of every decision on animals, people, and the planet. Sustainability isn’t a side effort. It’s built into how we source, make, and show up every day. What that looks like in action: Responsible sourcing We choose ingredients with intention, working with partners who share our standards for humane treatment, environmental care, and long-term stewardship. Many of our herbs are wildcrafted, thoughtfully harvested from their natural environments. Packaging, reimagined We’re actively working to reduce waste and rethink materials, moving toward more responsible packaging while encouraging reuse and recycling wherever possible. Made with accountability By producing in the USA, including in our own Riverstone Kitchen, we maintain oversight, reduce unnecessary transport, and ensure our standards are never outsourced. Certified B Corporation™ This isn’t a label, it’s a commitment. We meet rigorous standards for environmental and social performance, transparency, and accountability, and we’re legally required to consider impact beyond profit. We’re not finished, and we don’t pretend to be. Sustainability is ongoing work. We’re here to keep improving, keep questioning, and keep choosing better—for animals, for people, and for the planet.

  • If your dog or cat doesn't love it If there's ever a quality concern
  • If your order arrives damaged or incorrect

Who founded Earth Animal?

Earth Animal was founded in 1979 by Dr. Bob and Susan Goldstein. What began as a veterinary practice grew into something much bigger, a lifelong commitment to changing how we care for animals. Dr. Bob, a pioneer in holistic veterinary medicine, spent decades challenging conventional thinking. He saw firsthand that true health isn’t built through quick fixes, but through nutrition, nature, and supporting the body as a whole. Long before it was popular, he was integrating food, herbs, and natural therapies into his care, because they worked. Susan helped bring that vision to life, opening the 1st Natural Health Food Stores in the late seventies, shaping a company grounded in compassion, integrity, and a deep respect for animals and the people who love them. Together, they built Earth Animal on a belief that still guides us today: when you care for animals differently, everything changes. From creating No-Hide as an alternative to rawhide, to building a Certified B Corporation™ committed to people, animals, and the planet, their work continues to shape everything we do.
