The belief that started everything.
Since 1979, Dr. Bob Goldstein and Susan Goldstein have worked from a simple, unshakeable belief: that real food, whole-body nutrition, and thoughtful herbal care could create lasting change for dogs and cats. Not as a supplement to conventional medicine. As a genuinely better standard of care.
Through decades of clinical work, Dr. Bob saw what happened when that belief was applied consistently. Animals struggling with conditions that conventional approaches had failed to resolve, responding to nutrition-first, holistic care. He went on to co-develop The Bio Nutritional Analysis, a pioneering nutritional blood test that changed how pet health is evaluated.
That clinical conviction and Susan's unwavering belief that animals deserve more than the industry was offering them became Earth Animal.

History of Earth Animal

1974
Leigh changed everything. When Dr. Bob & Susan adopted their Golden Retriever, they didn't know he’d become their greatest teacher. Leigh's struggle with hip dysplasia and arthritis set them on a path to find another way to treat and care.
Another Way
1975
Determined to help Leigh thrive, Dr. Bob & Susan explored natural remedies and nutrition-first approaches that conventional medicine had overlooked. It worked. Leigh walked again. Then he ran.
Opening Day
1979
What worked for Leigh could work for others. Susan opened the first health food store for dogs and cats right next door to Dr. Bob's veterinary practice, a place where pet parents could find the same care and nutrition that had transformed Leigh's life.
Earth Animal Grows
1985 - 90
Word spread. Seven more stores followed, and Dr. Bob began formulating his own line of remedies and supplements, bringing veterinary expertise and natural ingredients together in ways the pet industry had never seen.
No-Hiding it
2015
Then came No-Hide, a chew dogs couldn't resist that pet parents could actually feel good about. Digestible, delicious, and durable, crafted without the risks of rawhide, No-Hide chews changed what a long-lasting dog treat could be.
