Heart is the active conviction that animals, people, and the planet deserve better. Science is the rigour that holds us to it. Every commitment on this page sits at the intersection of both. We don't claim impact we can't measure, and we don't measure things we're not willing to act on.

Caring for animals isn't a commitment we make once and revisit annually. It's embedded in every sourcing decision, every formulation choice, and every dollar we direct toward the organizations doing this work on the ground. We work with animal welfare science experts to ensure that standard holds, and keeps improving.


What This Supports:

Emergency relief for shelters and rescues, sanctuary care for animals in need, research and advocacy for better animal welfare standards, and ongoing support for the organizations doing this work every day.

For People

The people behind Earth Animal are what make it work. Our team, our neighbors, our customers, and our partners. We take that seriously, which is why our commitments to people extend beyond the product and into how we run the business.


Our Team:

We take care of the people who take care of this brand. That means 90-100% employer-covered health insurance, paid volunteer time, 401(k) matching, unlimited paid time off, and yes, dogs in the office. 


Community Partners: 

We volunteer with and support organizations including Greater Good Charities, Catherine Violet Hubbard Animal Sanctuary, Connecticut Foodshare, nOURish Bridgeport, Pets As Therapy, StreetVet, and the Pet Sustainability Coalition. 

For the Planet

Real progress means addressing real challenges, from plastic and carbon reduction to ingredient sourcing. Through responsible sourcing, active emissions reduction, and packaging commitments we measure and publish openly, we're working toward a standard the whole industry should be held to.

Emissions Progress: We've completed Scope 1 & 2 greenhouse gas accounting since 2021 and began measuring Scope 3 emissions in 2024. Our carbon offsets support the "From Waste to Fuel" biodigester project in Uganda, each year, our offsets help approximately 37 families. 
Packaging Progress We're certified plastic neutral with rePurpose Global, removing as much plastic from nature as we use in our business. All our displays, collateral, and signage use sustainable, recyclable, or FSC-certified materials. Learn more ↓
Industry Leadership: We're active members of the Sustainable Packaging Coalition and Pet Sustainability Coalition, working with industry peers to drive progress across the entire pet industry.

Every year, we reinvest 1% of our net sales into work that matters: initiatives that support animals, strengthen communities, and protect the planet. Not because it's a trend, and not affiliated with 1% for the Planet. This is our own commitment, made independently, because we believe a business that profits from the animals people love has a responsibility to give something back. Every time you buy from us, that commitment grows.
