Reducing our dependence on plastics
Today, more than 50% of our packaging is made from recyclable and recycled materials. But we know we need to go further. That’s why we are committed to making 100% of our packaging recyclable, reusable, or compostable by 2025. In addition, all our displays, collateral, and signage are made with sustainable, recycled, recyclable, or FSC-certified materials.
As we work towards that goal, we’re taking action today by being certified plastic neutral with rePurpose Global. Through our partnership, we are removing as much plastic from nature as we use in our business. Learn more about the impact of our plastic-neutrality journey. Impact Analysis
We have worked with a third party to conduct a Life Cycle Analysis of our No-Hide Chews and our product packaging to guide our future decisions & innovation. We have completed Scope 1 & 2 Green House Gas Accounting and created targeted improvement plans. Part ofo ur climate action plan to address our carbon footprint is working with Native and their HelpBuild™ Carbon Offset project programs. Our specific support project is the Northern Great Plains Regenerative Grazing Project in Montana by purchasing 238 tons of carbon removal.
Additionally, we have purchased more than 250 tons of carbon removal tokes from the Nori Carbon Removal Marketplace in support of R & J Wahlgren Farms in Nebraska.
Driving Industry Progress
To help our industry minimize the impacts of our packaging, we are active members of the Sustainable Packaging Coalition to help find plastic alternatives, and Flex Forward, an in-store packaging take back program.
