What's the difference between No-Hide® chews and Rawhide?
Both rawhide and No-Hide® chews are long-lasting chews that provide dogs with psychological satisfaction. But rawhide is made from poorly digestible hides culled from cows. Those hides are treated with many strong chemicals in order to reach the stage where they can be shaped and formed into the chews you see in stores.
In contrast, No-Hide® chews contain NO animal hides and chemicals are NOT used to produce them, so your dog only gets the best. No-Hide® chews are made with simple, sustainable ingredients that are nutritious, highly digestible and completely healthy for your dog.

No-Hide® Chewing Protocol: Safe Supervision
1. PICK THE RIGHT SIZE. ALWAYS.
• Always select the correct chew size based on your dog’s weight and chewing style.
• Small dogs → Small No-Hide®; Medium dogs → Medium; large/giant breeds or strong chewers → Large or Jumbo.
• A chew that’s too small can become a choking risk. Bigger is safer than smaller!
2. ACTIVE SUPERVISION
• NEVER leave your dog unattended with a No-Hide chew or any chew for that matter.
• Always stay close to watch how your dog while they chew their No-Hide®. Make it a bonding moment!
• If your dog is gulping, breaking off large chunks, or trying to swallow whole pieces, take it away and redirect with a more suitable size.
3. CHEW TIME GUIDELINES
• Allow your dog to enjoy the chew in moderation.
• 15-20 minutes of chew time is just right. Too much at once can upset their tummies.
4. REMOVE SMALL PIECES
• If the piece gets small enough to swallow whole, always take it away.
• A good rule: if the piece is small enough to fit entirely in your dog’s mouth, it’s time to take it away.

Dr. Bob & Susan Goldstein are the founders of Earth Animal and pioneers of holistic, integrative veterinary care, dedicated to improving the quality of life for animals and the Earth. Their journey began with their Golden Retriever, Leigh, whose health challenges led them to pursue “Another Way” of natural care and to open a natural health food store for dogs and cats next to Dr. Bob’s veterinary hospital in 1979—guiding the company’s mission ever since.
