In 2015, we set the pace for digestibility testing on rawhide alternatives with our longstanding partner Dr. Tim Bowser, a food scientist and leading expert in digestibility. Dr. Bowser is now an industry leader in digestibility testing in the rawhide alternative chew space, using learnings at Earth Animal to help create safer chews at other companies. Our testing protocols:
We use a 24-hour in-vitro test to understand total digestibility in the stomach (6 hours) and intestine (18 hours). Gastric and intestinal juices are used to mimic the dog’s GI tract. Scores are based on degradation “digestion” of the product.
We annually benchmark our product for digestibility against rawhide and our key competitors to ensure our stringent safety guidelines are met.

All 6 of my little dogs love the no hides in all forms. Except…the past few months none of them will touch the Stix. I noticed they have an off putting strong chemical odor that is not normal for this product. I bought a few different bags to see if it made a difference and they just won’t touch them now. Did the recipe change or is there a recall??

My dog ate the small size bone, in about 40 minutes, after her stomach, was very hard, and she was panting. I didn’t think she would eat the whole bone at one time. So from now on no more bones, maybe the small sticks. As long as she doesn’t get sick.

My daughter in law gave my 60 lb dog a bag of the chicken chews for Christmas. He is picky but he loves these and they are not only tasty to him but he shows up when I open his treat drawer. My little guy buddy loves these sticks as an occasional treat! He is only 3 and a half months and I can’t even leave a room for 5 seconds without him barking. These sticks give me about 10 mins of freedom which in puppy pawrents eyes is a luxury! Price is amazing and I will continue to buy again and again!

My ShihPoo loves these! The little sticks are consumed so quickly (5 min?) that they are now only an occasional treat. The large 4 inch chew is perfect, however. It takes him weeks of chewing, gnawing, carrying it around before I finally toss it and let him start another. My vet approves of the ingredients and safety.

I have a chihuahua-pug=chug. She has the body of a pug and the head and legs more like a chihuahua. Unfortunately she tends to run heavy and chews only smaller treats. This treat is ideal in that it’s a low calorie count, last longer than other treats and she can eat easily if I cut them in half (otherwise she would just hide the longer stick:)
Would love to buy more in bulk but that would be a little pricey

These No-Hide Stix have been a lifesaver! I have two 10 month old Corgis. Yes they are adorable but hard to keep quiet for long. Recently, one needed elbow surgery and was told to keep his weight as lean as possible. I scoured the products for a replacement of their once daily bone. These stix are AMAZING! It gives me a good 15 minutes with my coffee in the morning and at only 10 calories( beef, chicken, salmon) I don’t feel guilty and they are both losing weight. THANK YOU Earth Animal! My Staffordshire terrier mix LOVES LOVES LOVES LOVES LOVES these things! She goes crazy every time I pull one out for her and after she’s finished. Although the weight guideline considers her a large dog (she weighs 60lbs) I give her the sticks rather than the chews. Only problem we’ve had the past few weeks is that chicken flavor has been on back order so for now she’s enjoying salmon and beef. Loves them both though!

Wow. Our little dog is on an ultra hypoallergenic diet. He can only tolerate a few foods which are chicken, rice, and banana. I was absolutely surprised to see the ingredients on your no hide stixs matched exactly what he could eat. He loves them. Please don’t ever stop making them. My pomeranian and my chihuahua have had stomach upsets from other chews! Earth Animals are wonderful and they have no stomach problems with these. I also give them the 4 inch chews once a week as a special extra treat. I finally feel good about the treats my dogs are eating!

Both my dogs love, love, love these Stix. They obviously don’t last as long as the thicker ones, but they can’t get their mouths around the big ones. Would love to have something in between. Can you provide an approximate calorie count on the Stix? Thanks!
