In 2015, we set the pace for digestibility testing on rawhide alternatives with our longstanding partner Dr. Tim Bowser, a food scientist and leading expert in digestibility. Dr. Bowser is now an industry leader in digestibility testing in the rawhide alternative chew space, using learnings at Earth Animal to help create safer chews at other companies. We are proud to be on the forefront of safety for animals. And, true to its reason for creation, we pride ourselves that No Hides continually offer greater digestibility over rawhide.
Our testing protocols:
We use a 24-hour in-vitro test to understand total digestibility in the stomach (6 hours) and intestine (18 hours). Gastric and intestinal juices are used to mimic the dog’s GI tract. Scores are based on degradation “digestion” of the product.
We annually benchmark our product for digestibility against rawhide and our key competitors to ensure our stringent safety guidelines are met.

Please bring back all the vegetarian rolls for large dogs. My xl dog has food intolerances and there are virtually no chew options on the market that have no animal proteins. Please please please bring back

Our dog Pooky loves all of the healthy natural Earth Animal’s No-Hide Rolls, my husband and I too! They last a long time, keep him very busy, and they keep his teeth very clean! Pooky is so happy with all of his No-Hide Rolls (although he does like to hide them LOL)! They’re the best with no rawhide and great all natural ingredients! I highly recommend these, Pooky is 15 and these are so good for him to look forward to concentrate on chewing daily! We’re so thankful to Earth Animal for all of their great healthy and natural products for Pooky!

Opening a package of the peanut butter no-hide chews with a use-by date of 11/15/2024, they were completely covered in grey mold. Emails and pictures sent to Earth Animal chose not to respond to emails and pictures. According to the pet store, this is quite common with the peanut butter flavor. The bigger issue is the fact that they apparently don’t care and it isn’t worth a response. That has me unable to trust any of their products as it is quite telling about how the company operates.

My pup loves these! As it is one of the only options for her sensitivities. I have tried the Turkey dinner, salmon and chicken chews, but she suffers from mvd and her belly doesn’t agree. It was great to have a meat-free option for her treat.
