In 2015, we set the pace for digestibility testing on rawhide alternatives with our longstanding partner Dr. Tim Bowser, a food scientist and leading expert in digestibility. Dr. Bowser is now an industry leader in digestibility testing in the rawhide alternative chew space, using learnings at Earth Animal to help create safer chews at other companies. Our testing protocols:
We use a 24-hour in-vitro test to understand total digestibility in the stomach (6 hours) and intestine (18 hours). Gastric and intestinal juices are used to mimic the dog’s GI tract. Scores are based on degradation “digestion” of the product.
We annually benchmark our product for digestibility against rawhide and our key competitors to ensure our stringent safety guidelines are met.

These sticks did not work for my cat. He loves food and I hoped to find a treat that would occupy him for a few minutes. If I held out the stick, he would lick it a few times and give up. He tried biting it once but didn’t try again. If I put it in his bowl, he sniffed it and walked away.
I don’t blame the snack but I’m sorry I had to spend $18 to try it and have it fail. I wish there had been an option to buy a sample with minimal shipping so that I could have tried it out with less expense. Anyway, my neighbor’s poodle will enjoy them.

I was looking for chew bones with a low amount of protein and a low amount of fat, and found these. My little boy loves these salmon sticks ❤ It’s one of the few chew bones that his sensitive tummy can handle. I hope some of the stores here in Sweden will continue selling this product.

My 8 pound 13 week old chiweenie puppy is absolutely CRAZY, and these are the only thing that will keep him busy for a good amount of time. He has tried all flavors, and salmon is by far his favorite. It is really nice to be able to give him something and not have to worry about whats in it. I highly HIGHLY recommend trying these for your dog. They may be a bit pricey but they are so worth it for your babies 🙂

My two rescue “mutts” LOVE these! Until I read the reviews, I wasn’t aware they could be bought in bulk and I’m going to do that; they chomp down salmon, chicken and beef although salmon seems to be the favorite. I just wish there was a size in between the sticks (which I buy for mine) and the 4″ which are a bit large for the mouth size of mine–but buying in bulk may well allow me to give them two sticks a day. GREAT product and I especially appreciate the organic portion and humanely raised component.

My little 3.8lb chi hasn’t chewed anything really since he lost some of his teeth. I have been trying everything I can to find something he would chew to keep his teeth healthy. Brought these home and was astounded when he ran off with it and was actually chewing it!!!! My only problem is with 5 dogs kind of expensive for me, thus only a good rating (otherwise would of been perfect)! Thanks for an awesome product.

Wendy my mini poodle loves these salmon stix she knows once 6pm hits they its treate time… I don’t know how she knows but she does and just waits patiently by the treate drawer. She hasn’t had any problems with her tummy at all. She is usually really sensitive and will end up vomiting any type of chew stick but these she doesn’t! I am going to say it is the ingredients! Salmon is her favorite flavor then chicken!!
