    My Pit mix loves it

My dog is a picky eater and allergic to a lot of ingredients but with the Earth Animal dog food and no hide treats she has improved 80% in skin and digestive issues. It's a little pricey but worth it because of less visits to the vet and no more allergy shots.

Is Wisdom the best thing you
can put in your dog's bowl?
We think so.

And here's why.

For 45 years, Dr. Bob Goldstein, has treated animals with nutrition as the primary tool. Not as a complement to medicine. As the foundation of it.

He developed the Nutritional Blood Test, now used by veterinarians worldwide, and co-authored the leading textbook on integrative animal medicine. In that time, he has seen what the wrong food creates and what the right food can change.

Every Wisdom recipe carries 45 years of knowing the difference. When you know who made this food, the choice becomes simple.

The power of rotating proteins

Why we love rotational feeding

Rotational feeding keeps digestion active and resilient, and Wisdom makes it easy. Every recipe is balanced the same way, so switching proteins is smooth and stress-free. Each recipe also includes a thoughtfully crafted blend of different proteins to provide naturally diverse nutrition.

From chicken and turkey to quail, bison, and sardines, our range of proteins provides variety that helps reduce sensitivities, may help lower the risk of developing new food sensitivities over time, and keeps mealtime exciting by helping prevent food boredom.

Find their perfect portion

Every dog is different. Start here, then adjust based on their energy, their coat, and how they feel. You'll know when you've found the sweet spot.

Complete Nutrition

All Air-Dried Wisdom Dog Food recipes with the exception of From the Soil (adults only) are great for dogs of every life stage. From the Seed, From the Soil, and From the Air all have added postbiotics for a healthy gut and strong immune system.

Transition Tips

Switching foods is a big moment for their gut. Take it slow: over 7-10 days, gradually increase Wisdom while decreasing their current food. This gentle transition helps their microbiome adjust, setting them up for steady digestion from day one.

Storage

Wisdom is fully shelf stable, no refrigeration needed. Reseal after each use and store away from direct sunlight. For optimal freshness, use within 8 weeks of opening.

Your Questions, Answered

You ask and we answer! FAQs about Wisdom Air-Dried Dog Food

What is air-drying?

Gently Air-Dried. Deeply nourishing. Less heat. More life. Air-drying is a slow, gentle process that removes moisture while protecting the nutrients food naturally holds—no high heat, no shortcuts. Why it matters: • Nutrients remain intact and easier to absorb

  • Gentler on digestion than heavily processed foods
  • Creates a nutrient-dense food, you feed less per meal
  • Preserves real, usable nutrition

Air-dried at Riverstone, our SQF-certified kitchen in Maryland, where we control the quality from start to finish. Unlike kibble made through high-heat extrusion, air-dried food preserves more of the natural nutrition.

The result is shelf-stable food with many benefits of fresh feeding, minus the refrigeration and hassle. Just open the bag and serve.

Why is air-dried better than kibble?

Most kibble is made through extrusion, a high-heat, high-pressure process designed for efficiency and scale. Air-drying takes a different approach. At Riverstone, our gentle air-drying process slowly removes moisture using low temperatures and controlled airflow. This creates a shelf-stable food while helping protect the natural structure and nutritional value of real ingredients. This is how we deliver exceptional nutrition. Nutrient Integrity: By avoiding high heat, more of what matters stays intact, proteins, vitamins, and naturally occurring nutrients. Digestive Support: Gently processed ingredients can be easier for the body to break down and utilize, supporting digestion and nutrient absorption. Concentrated Nutrition: With moisture removed, every bite delivers more nutrition. You feed less per meal, and a bag goes further than expected. No High-Heat Shortcuts: Air-drying takes time, precision, and control, done in our own Riverstone Kitchen, where every batch is crafted with intention. Our food made differently, with a process designed to protect, not compromise. That’s exceptional nutrition.

Is Wisdom a complete and balanced diet?

Yes! Wisdom is complete and balanced for All Life Stages. Formulated by Dr. Bob Goldstein, every recipe is designed to meet AAFCO standards, supporting dogs from puppyhood through their senior years. But completeness is just the baseline. What makes Wisdom different is the quality of that nutrition. We use thoughtfully sourced proteins, including nutrient-dense organs, paired with whole food ingredients to deliver naturally occurring vitamins, minerals, and essential nutrients in forms the body can recognize and use. That’s what allows Wisdom to nourish dogs across every life stage, not by adding more fillers, but by starting with better inputs. And while Wisdom can absolutely be fed as a sole diet, we believe in something more: variety. Rotational feeding matters. Different proteins. Different nutrients. Different benefits. Rotation helps: – Support a more diverse and resilient microbiome – Reduce ingredient fatigue and sensitivities – Better reflect how animals are meant to eat over time Wisdom was designed for this. Our recipes work beautifully on their own, or as part of a rotational approach, Because real nutrition should evolve and your dog's diet should too. And your dog’s diet shouldn’t be either. That’s the difference between meeting a standard, and raising it.

How much Wisdom should I feed my dog?

Because Wisdom is truly nutrient-dense, every bite delivers more of what your dog actually needs, and less of what they don’t. We gently remove moisture through our air-drying process, not nutrients. What remains is concentrated, high-quality nutrition from real muscle meat and organs, naturally rich in essential vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and healthy fats. This means your dog’s body gets more usable nourishment per serving. So you feed less, but your dog gets more. More nourishment. More satisfaction. More from every bowl. Because the body isn’t just full, it’s fulfilled. What that means for feeding: Start with the guidelines on the bag based on your dog’s weight, then adjust based on activity level, age, and body condition. A few things to keep in mind:

  • Portions will look smaller than kibble, that’s the point
  • Active dogs may need more; less active dogs may need less
  • Puppies and nursing mothers have increased nutritional needs (see packaging)

When in doubt, your veterinarian can help tailor feeding to your dog’s specific need

How do I transition my dog to Wisdom?

Slow is kind. Thoughtful is better. When you’re introducing real, whole-food nutrition, give your dog’s system the time it needs to adjust. A gradual transition helps the gut adapt, and sets the foundation for long-term success. A simple 7–10 day path: Days 1–3

  • 75% current food
  • 25% Wisdom

Days 4–6

  • 50% current food
  • 50% Wisdom

Days 7–9

  • 25% current food
  • 75% Wisdom

Day 10+

  • 100% Wisdom

Follow your dog’s lead Every dog is different. Some move through quickly. Others, especially those with more sensitive systems, may need a little more time (up to 2 weeks or more). If you notice loose stool, that’s your signal to slow down, not stop. Stay at the current step a bit longer before moving forward. What to expect As your dog transitions to Wisdom, many pet parents notice:

  • Smaller, firmer stools
  • More consistent energy
  • Increased enthusiasm at mealtime

Because when the body recognizes real food, it responds. One bowl at a time. One step at a time. That’s how lasting change happens.

Where is Wisdom Dog Food made?

Wisdom is crafted in the USA at Riverstone, our own SQF-certified facility in Maryland. We didn’t partner with a co-packer. We built our own. Riverstone was designed from the ground up to make food differently, under Safe Quality Food (SQF) certification, a globally recognized standard for food safety, quality, and traceability, benchmarked by the Global Food Safety Initiative. This isn’t just a certification. It’s a commitment to accountability at every level. Because we own the facility, we oversee everything: – Ingredient sourcing and verification – Full lot traceability from ingredient to final bag – Rigorous quality and safety testing before any product is released Every batch is made with intention, and nothing leaves Riverstone until it meets our standards. At the center of it all is our gentle air-drying process, a slower, lower-temperature method that helps preserve nutrients, protect protein integrity, and maintain the natural flavor of real food. It’s not built on shortcuts or high-heat processing. We own the process. We stand behind every batch. We can tell you exactly where your dog’s food comes from, and how it was made. That’s Riverstone. That’s Wisdom.

Why does Wisdom focus on gut health?

This is it. This is everything. The foundation for health starts here. Dr. Bob Goldstein, holistic veterinarian, founder, and lifelong advocate for animal wellness, has spent over 45 years coming back to one truth: Health begins in the gut. Not as a trend. As biology. Because the gut does more than digest food. It shapes the immune system. It fuels energy. It determines how nutrients are absorbed, and how the body responds.

  • Nearly 70% of the immune system lives in the gut
  • When digestion works, everything works better, energy, coat, mood, resilience
  • When it doesn’t, the whole animal feels it

So we built Wisdom differently. Not around trends. Around function. Our process protects what matters. Gentle air-drying preserves nutrients, without the damage of high heat. Our ingredients work with the body. Real muscle meat. Nutrient-rich organs. Whole foods the body recognizes and knows how to use. Our recipes support balance. Quinoa and oats provide gentle, functional fiber, helping maintain healthy digestion and a thriving microbiome. And we leave out what doesn’t belong. No artificial additives. Nothing that disrupts what the body is trying to do naturally. This is gut-first nutrition. Not a feature. A philosophy. Because when you nourish the gut, you nourish the whole animal.

What does the 'From the...' recipe names mean?

Named for where it begins. Held to how it’s raised. “From the…” tells you exactly what matters: the origin of the primary protein, and the standards behind it. Land. Sea. Air. Seed. Soil. From open land. From clean waters. From the air, the soil, and the seed. Each recipe traces back to its origin—where quality, welfare, and sustainability begin.

  • From the Land — grass-fed, pasture-raised red meats
  • From the Sea — wild-caught fish, naturally rich in omegas
  • From the Air — humanely raised, novel poultry for sensitive dogs
  • From the Seed — plant-forward proteins, complete and balanced
  • From the Soil — insect protein, raised with minimal impact We also offer simply sourced Chicken and Turkey recipes, GAP-rated poultry for those who do best with one trusted protein.

B Corp certification. Plastic neutral. 1% for the planet. These are not just badges. They are commitments with consequences. As a public benefit corporation, our obligations to people, animals, and planet are in our charter. And we are not done yet.

Forty-five years of refusing to settle.

Two founders. One conviction. A refusal to accept what this industry calls good enough. Dr. Bob Goldstein on the science. Susan Goldstein on the conscience.

We believe health starts in the gut, and that real food, thoughtfully prepared, is the best foundation for a healthy, happy animal. So we built Riverstone, our own kitchen in the farmlands of Maryland, where we craft every batch ourselves, from ingredient arrival to finished bag. Exceptional nutrition, backed by science and guided by nearly five decades of veterinary thinking. Not quick fixes, but practical food that supports comfortable digestion, steady energy, and lifelong vitality.

Family owned since 1979, still guided by the same belief that started it all: that the animals we love deserve far better than they're usually offered.
