In 2015, we set the pace for digestibility testing on rawhide alternatives with our longstanding partner Dr. Tim Bowser, a food scientist and leading expert in digestibility. Dr. Bowser is now an industry leader in digestibility testing in the rawhide alternative chew space, using learnings at Earth Animal to help create safer chews at other companies. We are proud to be on the forefront of safety for animals. And, true to its reason for creation, we pride ourselves that No Hides continually offer greater digestibility over rawhide.
Our testing protocols:
We use a 24-hour in-vitro test to understand total digestibility in the stomach (6 hours) and intestine (18 hours). Gastric and intestinal juices are used to mimic the dog’s GI tract. Scores are based on degradation “digestion” of the product.
We annually benchmark our product for digestibility against rawhide and our key competitors to ensure our stringent safety guidelines are met.

I’ve been buying these no-hide chews for years and have noticed within the last few years the coating (pork, chicken, beef, etc.) has decreased significantly. These chews are not cheap and the cut-back on the coating is significant!

Disappointed with the sizing. I bought 2 large Pork bones and the diameter and length were that of a medium size (I have purchased said bones before). I also bought chicken and beef in large and those were true to the size I am accustomed too with these no-chew bones. So when I compared the pork flavor to the other flavors in my order I could see that they were significantly shorter by about 2-3 inches and the diameter was smaller. These bones are not cheap and my dogs do love them but I am very disappointed that I would receive medium sized bones when I ordered large. That is poor customer service.

They have these at my local pet specialty store! They are amazing! I gave this to my 75 pound shepherd mix.. It lasted maybe a couple hours, she’s usually an aggressive chewer, but she seemed to be slower with this, almost treating it like a toy! I love that these are hand rolled with quality ingredients! So worth it! Especially when you want to keep dogs busy during the holidays or when company is over!
I also got a turkey cranberry one. I don’t know if it’s limited edition for the holidays, but she loved it!!

My grand dog LOVES these!!! She is a chocolate lab with an insatiable need to chew. However, she quickly loses interest in nonconsumable chews. Traditional raw hides caused her to choke. She loves all your flavors and whenever a package arrives, she gets really excited hoping it’s a new shipment! They are worth the price, because they are safe, made from quality ingredients in the USA, and she loves them.
